LMSW-C, 20 years of experience
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience helping people navigate life’s challenges with compassion and care. I offer virtual therapy for individuals of all ages and backgrounds, and I specialize in supporting clients through grief, life transitions, anxiety and depression, and other issues. I am licensed and based in Michigan, and am also licensed in Indiana, Kentucky, West Virginia, Maine, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Some of my favorite quotes: • “No pride for some of us without liberation for all of us.” — Marsha P. Johnson • “We deserve to experience love fully, equally, without shame and without compromise.” — Elliot Page • “Hope will never be silent.” — Harvey Milk
I want to hear about what is important to you, what strengths you have and what challenges you want to focus on in our time together. I will stand with you and support you in making and in coping with changes in life.
My approach is warm, affirming, and collaborative and I utilize an eclectic, strengths-based approach. I strive to create a space where you can show up exactly as you are—without judgment and without pressure. Together, we’ll explore your strengths, your goals, and the changes you want to make. Whether you’re facing a difficult moment or seeking deeper self-understanding, I’ll meet you where you are and support you in moving toward where you want to be. I recently completed a certificate program in Gender- Affirming Clinical Services and I have extensive experience as a caregiver and advocate for a loved one who is transgender. I am knowledgeable and passionate about supporting trans and non-binary individuals and their families in their journeys.
I work with people of all ages and backgrounds on working through life changes, grief, and other stressors. As a dedicated ally, I am committed to supporting individuals impacted by systemic inequities in facing and overcoming barriers, especially in these challenging times.
I have been providing solution focused brief treatment with clients for over 20 years, utilizing motivational interviewing and a strengths-based perspective.
I have a Certificate from NASW Michigan in Clinical Concerns and Gender Identity. I have supported loved ones as well as many clients in exploring their gender identity, seeking affirming care, and coping with bias and discrimination in society.
