About me

I’m passionate about offering space for women to feel heard and navigate the unique challenges of the role of mother. In particular, I love to help women connect to their own inner wisdom to gain resilience for the inevitable highs and lows of parenthood. My own experience transitioning into motherhood inspires me to support others on this transformative journey. I was so grateful to have therapeutic support during the postpartum period, and want to offer that to others going through the experience. I am here to help women feel heard, supported, encouraged no matter what their journey looks like.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Once I understand where you need support most, we work together to understand how you are feeling, where that may have originated, and how you would like to grow and feel good each day. I work from the belief that you are your own healer and the expert on your life, and my role is to hold space for you to process through experiences and emotions. This process is not always comfortable, but the vision I have for how you feel coming out of therapy is lighter, less burdened than when you came in, hopefully with a new perspective and trust of yourself. I work by listening closely and offering you space to view your thoughts, emotions and body sensation as parts of you, but not all of who you are. Through this type of mindfulness, anxiety and depression are reduced, and our nervous systems are calmed.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I work by listening closely and offering you space to view your thoughts, emotions and body sensation as parts of you, but not all of who you are. Through this type of mindfulness, anxiety and depression are reduced, and our nervous systems are calmed.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

Common experiences like pregnancy hardship, loss, mental health and fertility challenges, postpartum and parenting struggles often go undiscussed, which leaves us feeling more alone. Sometimes these topics can be so loaded that we don’t feel that we can even discuss them with our closest friends, spouse or parents, for fear of judgment or touching a nerve.

My treatment methods

Mind-body approach

I use somatic techniques to connect thoughts and behaviors and body sensations related to mental health. When body and mind are more connected, one can experience relief.

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

I use IFS to connect you to your self, which can heal wounded parts that we have often had for years. My practice is IFS informed, meaning I am currently completing the IFS circle. I've also received my own therapy in this model. IFS uses somatic awareness to come into contact with body sensations, thoughts, feelings and images to heal and unite with ones true self. IFS is a wonderful, compassionate and non-pathologizing model.
