In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session; we will go over introductions, review therapy policies and procedures, and answer any questions you may have about the therapeutic process. We will also discuss the presenting challenge and the treatment modality that will be utilized in follow-up sessions.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I’ve been using CBT in my practice for the past ten years. It’s helped clients to challenge reoccurring thoughts and manage their anxiety and depression. We’ll use CBT to recognize how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors influence each other. We’ll then use that knowledge to change your thinking patterns.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-i)

I utilize CBT-i to help clients identify contributing variables for insomnia and to improve their quality of sleep.

Motivational Interviewing

I have utilized MI in my practice for the past eight years to increase client's motivation for change. We will utilize MI to identify your capacity for change, identify your personal strengths, and empower you to be your own agent of change.

Prolonged Exposure Therapy

Prolonged Exposure Therapy focuses on identifying an index trauma and aiding the client in reframing how they engage with the trauma memory. PE focuses on having the client recall the trauma memory and engaging with activities that trigger their trauma symptoms to reduce the severity of trauma responses.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

CPT focuses on aiding the client in identifying "stuck points" that trigger trauma responses and developing cognitive reframing skills to challenge stuck points.
