About me

Hi! I'm Dalaise Hickey, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, based in Connecticut. I obtained my Master’s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University in 2008 and have over 15 years of experience working with individuals and families. Prior to moving to Connecticut, I worked in New York City as a social worker representing youth and families involved in the criminal justice and child welfare systems. I am deeply committed to helping empower my clients and believe in taking an individualistic approach to helping you achieve your goals.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

During our first session, we will meet to help learn more about the challenges you are facing and get to know you a bit more as well as make sure I am a good fit for you. This is a great time to ask questions and share more about your history. From there, we will identify goals you would like to work on.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My ability to think outside the box when helping clients achieve their goals. I don't believe in a one size fits all approach and use a variety of therapeutic modalities while working together including cognitive behavioral therapy and acceptance and commitment therapy.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I primarily work with individuals aged 17 . While I welcome all clients, my specialization lies in supporting women and helping them become the version of themselves they wish to see, particularly in navigating anxiety, depression and life transitions along with the various challenges that come with parenthood including perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.
