Hello! My name is Amaris, and I’m glad you’re here :) Do you ever feel like you’re carrying more than your share — emotionally, mentally, or relationally? Do you find yourself doubting your needs, overthinking decisions, or feeling responsible for everyone else’s wellbeing? Many women move through the world with expectations and pressures that shape how they show up. My work focuses on helping women understand the “why” behind their emotions and behaviors so they can move through life with more clarity, confidence, and self‑trust. Sometimes personal growth means recognizing that you’re either going to deal with your stuff, or your stuff is going to deal with you. Therapy is a powerful place to begin that process.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The first session is meant to create and establish comfort and emotional safety. There is no formula to follow- the goal is to assess if we are a good fit, take a deeper dive into your background and history, and determine how you'd like therapy to support you moving forward.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I didn’t pursue this career to “fix” or “rescue” anyone. I’m here to offer a nonjudgmental, grounded, emotionally safe space where you can feel seen, known, and understood. I provide a non‑religious environment that welcomes whatever belief system you do or don’t hold. I also value diversity and inclusion deeply, making this an LGBTQ+, Transgender, and BIPOC‑affirming space. I’m passionate about supporting women who have spent years minimizing themselves, over‑functioning for others, or feeling unseen in their relationships.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work best with women who are insightful and self‑aware, but often feel overwhelmed by self‑doubt, emotional responsibility, people‑pleasing, or the pressure to hold everything together. Many of my clients are navigating identity shifts, relational patterns, boundary challenges, or the lingering impact of trauma. They’re looking for a space where they can be honest, supported, and guided toward a more grounded and authentic version of themselves.

My treatment methods

Trauma-Focused CBT

An evidence‑based modality that helps prevent and treat symptoms of PTSD, depression, and distressing behavioral patterns. This approach is especially helpful for women navigating the lingering impact of trauma or chronic stress.

Compassion Focused

Many women internalize criticism, perfectionism, or the pressure to be “the strong one.” Compassion‑focused work helps soften shame, reduce self‑blame, and build a more supportive inner voice.

Psychodynamic

Ideal for clients who want to understand how past experiences shape present patterns. Together, we explore the roots of your emotions and behaviors so you can engage with your life more intentionally.

Feminist

This integrative approach centers the unique challenges women face — including bias, emotional labor, relational expectations, and systemic pressures — and how these experiences impact mental health and identity.

Amaris was not only authentic but compassionate. She listened and let me be heard, Asked many focused questions to challenge my perspective. I look forward to speaking to her again.

I wish I could pick more than 2 in the "what stands out about this providers therapy style" She is open minded, humorous, empowering, direct, warm, solution minded, etc. I feel that she will be a good fit. I specifically like that she spoke about mental health related terms and told me how they may relate to me and what I am experiencing. I like to learn about diagnoses/symptoms and she explained these things well and in a way that makes sense to me (she did not diagnose me). Enjoyed my session!

This helped me out a lot. Amaris really listens and makes you feel seen. I wasn’t sure at first about online therapy, but I’m glad I tried it.
