(she/her)
I believe that therapy should be rooted in compassion, understanding, and respect for each person's unique experiences. I value diversity & welcome clients from all walks of life, creating a safe & exclusive space where every voice is heard. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), helping clients identify & reframe unhelpful thoughts while developing healthier ways to navigate life's challenges. Together we'll work towards building resilience, fostering self-awareness, and creating meaningful change. (NOTE: If you don't see a day/time that works with your schedule, please feel free to email me to see if there is possibly an option for a different day/time available).
In our first session, I'll take the time to get to know you by exploring what brings you to therapy, your past experiences, & what you hope to gain from therapy. We'll also identify your support system & I'll provide space for you to share whatever feels important for our work together. I'll proactively mention that if you're only interested in a 1 time therapy appointment or you plan on scheduling appointments less frequent than weekly, I am NOT the therapist for you. I prefer to only work with those who are committed to consistent weekly therapy sessions to actively create positive changes in their lives.
My greatest strengths are my ability to connect with clients & to meet clients wherever they are on their journey. I'm a competent & seasoned professional, but I'm definitely not looking to impress anyone with big technical therapy vocabulary or show up to appointments in a fancy business suit. That's not my style! My laid back, down earth approach allows clients to feel comfortable enough to let their guard down to get the most out of their therapy sessions. I enjoy using a variety of methods & therapeutic approaches based on what each client needs. I absolutely love to see the results of my clients' hard work throughout the therapy process! My goal is to help you reach your goals!
I enjoy working with clients who are ready to commit to therapy. I prefer only working with those who want weekly therapy sessions in order to maintain momentum & motivation. Anxiety, stress & overwhelm, anger issues, self-esteem / self-esteem concerns, parenting issues, are a few of the areas I especially enjoy working with clients in. I also specialize in working with diverse populations, and I do not discriminate!
