Some days—or even whole seasons of life—can feel heavier than others. You might feel stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, anxious, emotionally drained, or unsure of how to move forward. Therapy doesn’t magically erase life’s difficulties, but it can create space to better understand yourself, respond to challenges more intentionally, and reconnect with what matters most to you. My approach is warm, collaborative, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental. Clients who value authenticity, self-reflection, and meaningful personal growth often connect well with my style. I aim to create an environment where you don’t have to perform, impress anyone, or have the “right” words for what you’re feeling. I often incorporate humor, metaphors, reflection, and practical resources such as worksheets, videos, or exercises when they feel helpful and relevant—not as homework for the sake of homework, but as tools to support insight and meaningful change outside of sessions as well. Rather than telling you who to be or what decisions to make, I see therapy as a collaborative process that helps you build greater self-awareness, emotional flexibility, self-trust, and resilience. My hope is that over time, you feel more confident navigating life in a way that feels authentic and aligned with your values.

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Starting therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you’re unsure what to expect or worried about being judged or pressured to open up too quickly. My goal in our first session is to create a supportive, collaborative space where we can begin getting to know each other and explore what brings you to therapy. I typically use a semi-structured approach, asking thoughtful questions to help guide the conversation while still following your pace and priorities. We may talk about your current concerns, relationships, stressors, emotional patterns, and goals for therapy. You don’t need to come fully prepared or have everything figured out. I focus on building comfort and trust rather than rushing into difficult material. At the same time, I value honesty and reflection, and I’ll often invite curiosity about what’s coming up for you in the moment. By the end of the session, I may offer a small action step or resource if it feels relevant and helpful. My approach is less about “fixing” you and more about helping you better understand yourself and begin moving toward meaningful change.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

One of my greatest strengths is creating a space that feels both supportive and genuine. My style is warm, laid back, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, without feeling overly clinical or rigid. I aim to help clients feel comfortable showing up as themselves rather than performing or trying to say things the “right” way. I work well with clients who are thoughtful, introspective, creative, and emotionally curious, especially those interested in understanding themselves on a deeper level. My approach is flexible and individualized, drawing from evidence-based practices while adapting to what feels most meaningful and helpful for each person. I often incorporate humor, metaphors, reflection, and practical tools when appropriate, while keeping sessions grounded and conversational. Rather than positioning myself as the expert, I see therapy as a collaborative process where we explore patterns, build insight, and create meaningful change together. Clients often describe feeling comfortable and understood in our work. My hope is that therapy helps you build greater self-trust, emotional flexibility, and a stronger connection to who you are and what matters most to you.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

The clients I tend to work best with are adults who are curious about themselves and open to exploring what’s going on beneath the surface of their stress, anxiety, or emotional patterns. They may not always have the right language for what they’re feeling, but they’re willing to slow down, reflect, and get honest with themselves in a meaningful way. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, mood fluctuations, self-doubt, life transitions, or a general sense of feeling stuck or disconnected. Often, they’re high-functioning on the outside but internally overwhelmed, overthinking, or feeling out of alignment with themselves or their lives. I especially enjoy working with people who are introspective, creative, or emotionally curious—people who value depth, authenticity, and self-awareness, even if that process sometimes feels uncomfortable or uncertain. Clients who resonate with a collaborative, conversational style tend to do well in my practice, especially those who prefer exploring patterns and meaning rather than highly structured or directive approaches. Therapy with me is a good fit for people who want to better understand themselves, shift unhelpful patterns, and build more flexibility in how they relate to thoughts and emotions. Many of my clients are interested in learning how to respond to life with more intention, self-trust, and alignment with their values rather than feeling controlled by anxiety or old habits. Most importantly, my ideal clients are those who are motivated by genuine curiosity and a desire for meaningful change—not perfection, but growth. They’re often looking for a space where they can be real, think out loud, and gradually build a deeper sense of clarity, stability, and self-understanding.

My treatment methods

Eclectic

My approach is primarily grounded in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which focuses on helping people build a more flexible, compassionate relationship with their thoughts and emotions while staying connected to what matters most in their lives. I often bring in humor, metaphors, and reflection to help make internal experiences feel more understandable and less overwhelming. Rather than trying to eliminate difficult thoughts or feelings, we work on changing your relationship to them so they have less control over your life. This can help you respond to challenges with more intention and feel more aligned with your values, even when things are stressful or uncertain. I also draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused approaches when helpful. CBT can support noticing and shifting unhelpful thinking patterns in a balanced, realistic way. Motivational Interviewing helps explore ambivalence and strengthen your own motivation for change without pressure. Solution-Focused work highlights existing strengths, resources, and small, practical steps forward. When relevant, I also incorporate elements of existential and relational approaches, especially when clients are exploring identity, meaning, or direction in life. Overall, my work is flexible and collaborative, using different tools in a way that fits the person rather than forcing a single method or structure.
