EMILIA has training in treating children, teens and adults including those with developmental disabilities throughout life phases. She has experience using trauma focused therapy and grief therapy for survivors and caregivers. She specializes in applying CBT and mindfulness skills to help with stress-reduction, sleep and focus. Many people see an improvement within the first few sessions when using tools taught in session. Sometimes, client feel a large sense of relieve after the first session because of my approach to listen and validate.
First session is used for intake information and to hear about what brought you into therapy today, your history with therapy, and your goals. We may dive deeper into your history as it pertains to your treatment. I will inform you of the best approach we will take for your treatment.
I focus on CBT and teach skills needed for your individual situation based on your symptoms. I will empower you to use each skill and give you the knowledge on how each tool works.
An ideal partnership is a proactive client willing to learn and apply therapy skills outside of sessions. Therapy is not always easy and being aware that this is a tool to self-improvement is key to growth.

My role as your trauma therapist is to offer a safe space to freely discuss your story in order to be to process it and move forward with your future.
