Misty Bamberg is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (GA) and a Licensed Independent Social Worker-Clinical Practice (SC). She earned her MSW in social work at the University of South Carolina. Misty has experience treating a variety of disorders and conditions to include depression and anxiety; managing stress; building self-esteem and confidence; and coping with life changes to include grief and loss.
Initially, I take time to ensure that you are comfortable as we become familiar with each other. I will then help you not only identify, but also understand the issues/disorders you may be experiencing. I will strive to ensure that my client's therapeutic takeaways include the recognition of individual strengths, development of coping skills and the active seeking of personal growth and empowerment.
I am passionate about initiating the therapy process by empathetically and non-judgmentally meeting people exactly where and as they are. I also believe it is critical to continually work to destigmatize mental illness and the unique responses of individuals to human adversity.

This was our first session, although I was very nervous going in she made it a safe space for me to share my thoughts and feelings with her. I look forward to our next one.

First session felt amazing! I feel like there’s a lot to unpack over our next sessions but Ms.Misty has reached me on a different level just in our initial session. I feel comfortable, I feel heard , & I’ve gained some strength! Some confidence , that my future will unfold in my very favor , overtime; with every session.
