(she/her)
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in supporting high-functioning Black women navigating burnout, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. I also work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, trauma, and major life changes, including those adjusting to new roles, relationships, or life circumstances. I provide a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can slow down, gain clarity, and better understand your thoughts and emotions. My approach is warm, collaborative, and focused on helping you build practical coping skills while also exploring deeper patterns that may be impacting your well-being. Together, we will work toward helping you feel more balanced, confident, and in control of your life.
In our first session, we will focus on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. You can expect a supportive and nonjudgmental space where you can share at your own pace. I will ask questions to better understand your experiences, goals, and any challenges you may be facing. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life transition, or simply needing a space to process, we will begin identifying areas to focus on and create a plan that feels comfortable, meaningful, and aligned with your needs.
One of my greatest strengths is my ability to create a warm, supportive environment while also helping clients make meaningful progress. I balance compassion with a goal-oriented approach, providing both emotional support and practical tools clients can apply in their daily lives. I have experience working with trauma, behavioral challenges, and substance use, which allows me to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs. I also have a strong ability to support high-functioning individuals who may appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed internally, helping them slow down, gain clarity, and create more balance. Additionally, I incorporate creative and interactive techniques, especially when working with children and adolescents, to make therapy engaging and effective.
I work best with high-functioning women who are navigating burnout, emotional overwhelm, and the pressure of holding everything together while balancing work, relationships, and personal expectations. Many of my clients appear “put together” on the outside but feel stuck, drained, or unsure how to prioritize themselves. I also work with adolescents and young adults navigating anxiety, trauma, and life transitions. I support clients in building emotional awareness, strengthening coping skills, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I use CBT to help clients make sense of how their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. In sessions, we work together to identify patterns that may be keeping them stuck and replace them with healthier, more helpful ways of thinking. I focus on creating a supportive space while also teaching practical skills clients can use outside of session to manage stress, regulate emotions, and feel more in control.
Solution Focused Brief Treatment
I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) to help clients focus on their strengths and build on what is already working in their lives. Instead of staying stuck in problems, we work together to identify goals, small steps, and practical solutions that create meaningful change. This approach is especially helpful for clients who want to feel more empowered and see progress in a shorter amount of time.
Trauma-Focused CBT
I use Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to support clients, especially youth, in processing and healing from traumatic experiences. I help clients understand how trauma impacts their thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while teaching coping skills to manage distress. Sessions are paced in a safe and supportive way, allowing clients to build emotional regulation skills, increase a sense of safety, and gradually process difficult experiences.
Gestalt
I incorporate Gestalt Therapy techniques to help clients increase self-awareness and better understand their present-moment experiences. This approach often includes experiential exercises, such as the empty chair technique, to explore unresolved feelings, internal conflicts, and relationships. I use these interventions to help clients process emotions, gain insight, and move toward healing and personal growth.
