I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) with experience supporting children, adolescents, couples, and adults. Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked as a School Counselor for seven years across Indiana, Hawaii, and Ohio. These experiences shaped my passion for helping individuals navigate challenges, build resilience, and move toward meaningful personal growth. I believe that each person already holds the answers they are searching for within themselves. My role is to provide a nonjudgmental, genuine, and empathetic space where those answers can be explored, uncovered, and put into action.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Counseling doesn’t have to feel intimidating or uncomfortable—it’s about human connection and creating a space where you feel safe to share your story. In our first session, we will get to know each other, review confidentiality, discuss any past counseling experiences or diagnoses, and explore your expectations for therapy. My goal is to better understand your world so we can begin building a path forward together.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I feel deeply honored to be trusted by those I work with. My counseling philosophy is rooted in the rhythm of the ocean: life ebbs and flows between calm seas and crashing waves, and no one is meant to navigate them alone. Strength is not found in solitary survival, but in trusting support and accepting help when it is offered. Seeking support is not a sign of weakness—it is an act of resilience. Education & Credentials: Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Indiana State University Psychology Studies at University of Jyväskylä, Finland Master of Education in School Counseling from Indiana State University Clinical Mental Health Endorsement Program at University of Toledo Professional Affiliations & Training: Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC) American Counseling Association (ACA) EMDR-trained at The Center of Excellence in EMDR Therapy

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I am best positioned to serve families, children, adolescents, and those working in school settings, drawing from my extensive experience as a school counselor. I also support adults, couples, and individuals who have experienced trauma. Through a collaborative and empathetic approach, I help clients navigate challenges, build resilience, and work toward meaningful, lasting growth and positive change in their lives.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) can create change in a person's life by identifying unhelpful thoughts and restructuring them in a more balanced way. Thinking patterns influence feelings and behaviors. By breaking this cycle each part becomes more supportive instead of reinforcing distress.

Couples Counseling

I have worked with couples prior to marriage, during difficult times in a marriage, and to navigate separation, divorce, and co-parenting. Increased communication and understanding can lead to better teamwork, connection, and growth.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) alleviates symptoms associated with traumatic memories by memory reprocessing that taps into the body's inherent ability to move towards health and healing. This therapy will introduce bilateral stimulation in different forms (eye movements, tapping, tones, etc.).
