(she/her)
I'm Tree, a therapist dedicated to helping people who feel overwhelmed or stuck, to find their footing, and feel more like themselves again. I specialize in helping busy adults manage anxiety and set healthy boundaries, with a focus on helping them regain a sense of safety and control in their lives. I offer confidential, tailored strategies, that can help reduce burnout, manage anxiety or depression, assist with interpersonal relationships, process grief, and keep you functioning at a happy and healthy level.
It is important to provide comfort and support while we work together to achieve your goals for therapy. Our first visit will be a confidential "getting to know you" session. I want to gather as much information as possible by completing an assessment designed to provide an accurate description of the total person. I want this to be a safe, open space where you can say whatever is on your mind without judgment, ask anything you need to, and feel completely comfortable with me. It takes a lot of strength to seek out therapy, and I want to ensure that you feel able to trust me and work as a team to improve your quality of life.
My approach focuses on building a warm, trusting connection to make therapy feel safe and collaborative, rather than clinical. I use evidence-based tools tailored to your needs, aiming for practical, sustainable changes in habits. You can expect a direct, yet compassionate style, that helps you gain insights and solve problems. Therapy should be organic and provide accommodation for your specific situation and mental health goals.
My goal is to offer a non-judgmental space that fosters therapeutic processing of difficult emotions, thoughts, or memories and provides an opportunity for meaningful healing. I want to be a collaborative and versatile guide through your positive mental health journey. I want to focus on deep listening and reflecting your feelings, so you are truly heard and your feelings are validated. I am highly skilled at adapting techniques to fit your unique needs, personality, and current life situation.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)
Using ACT in therapy sessions, my goal is to focus less on the symptomology of a problem, and more on accepting our lived experiences. When we use this approach, we create an opportunity for a shift in thinking that allows us to be present in that moment, with less stress.
Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
CBT therapy is a way for us to re-examine any negative thought patterns or behavior that may be creating our feelings of anxiety or depression. This treatment allows us to structure sessions around achieving therapeutic goals.
