A holistic whole-person approach to care grounded in mindfulness. Hello and a warm welcome to you, I'm Karre, she/her. Life can hold both beauty and awe, as well as moments that feel overwhelming, chaotic, heavy, or even traumatic. You don’t have to navigate those times alone—I’m here to listen and support you in your healing process on your therapeutic journey. Over 20 years ago, through my massage therapy practice, I began to witness the healing potential that exists for both my clients and myself. Through the many personal stories shared during bodywork sessions, I was inspired to deepen my path into mental health. Today, I continue that commitment with a holistic approach to care, supporting healing of the whole person and overall well-being as central to my clinical practice. I am passionate about this work and about helping you discover, recover, and embrace your strengths and authentic self. I am continually investing in my professional development to ensure I bring thoughtful, effective, and evidence-informed approaches to my practice. Those closest to me know me as an ardent mom, wife, and nana. I'm a traveler, and an arts-inspired social equality-loving creator.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

In our first session, you can expect a warm, supportive, and non-judgmental space where you feel heard and understood. We’ll begin with what brought you in, and move at a comfortable pace as we explore your experiences and how you’ve been navigating them.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My life, work, and travel experiences in diverse communities have shaped a creative and culturally responsive approach to my practice. I also bring lived experience with many of the challenges I focus on, offering a deeper, more personal understanding of how difficult they can be.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

You might come to me feeling stuck or weighed down by your experiences, including trauma. Together, we build resources to support you both in and between sessions. We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you, collaborating and adjusting as your needs evolve. When setting goals, I work collaboratively with you to understand what you’d like to change or improve. Together, we create clear, achievable steps and break things down into manageable pieces. Along the way, we’ll revisit and adjust as needed to keep the work meaningful and aligned with your needs.

My treatment methods

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps us accept negative thoughts, feelings, and circumstances. It's a different way of looking at whats going on within and around us. It encourages us to commit to a pro-positive lifestyle that is tied to what it is that we truly value.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) can help you to change unhelpful or unhealthy ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving. CBT uses practical self-help strategies that are designed to immediately improve your quality of life.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) is a short-term, collaborative approach to psychotherapy that focuses on setting goals and finding solutions. It's based on solution-building rather than problem-solving.

EMDR

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) can help you process through traumatic and/or disturbing memories, feelings, body sensations, and thoughts with very little or no description of the event while utilizing bi-lateral stimulation (tapping, sound, eye movements). When we are able to process through them, we can be less attached to the experience. In a sense we are released from the attachment.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

Mindfulness-Based Therapy (MBCBT, MBCT) can help us to be aware of internal thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as external surroundings and situations, without automatic responses such as judgment, criticism, and stress.

Karre excels at listening, making one comfortable from the start and most importantly, at helping one process trauma and begin to heal.
