Hi, I'm Lauren. I specialize in helping individuals heal from eating disorders, trauma, anxiety, and depression through a compassionate, whole-person approach. I believe recovery is about more than reducing symptoms, it's about building a new relationship with yourself that is rooted in authenticity, flexibility, and compassion. My work is grounded in dignity, mindfulness, and evidence-based care. I strive to create a space where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered to explore their experiences without shame or judgment. Together, we'll work toward healing, resilience, and a more peaceful relationship with food, your body, and yourself.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

The goal of our first session is to start building a relationship. For some, this means diving into your story and getting a deeper picture of what life has been like for you. For others, this looks like easing into things and moving at whatever pace feels effective for you. I'll ask some questions about what's been going on and what you want from therapy, and you get to decide what you feel comfortable to share that first session.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

My blend of training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, and Trauma Therapy for dissociation/C-PTSD has given me the tools and experience to help people challenge their own behaviors and thought-patterns, while building a more compassionate and holistic relationship with themselves. The people I work with report feeling deeply cared for in our therapeutic relationship, and walk away from our work together with concrete strategies and tools to feel more in control of their choices.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

I work well with folks who would benefit from being challenged and held accountable, while also learning to hold compassion and flexibility towards themselves. I have 9 years of experience working with folks struggling with eating disorders, disordered eating, body image issues, and other co-occurring disorders. People do not need to know what they want out of therapy when they meet with me, as my approach is to walk alongside clients as they figure out what a life-worth living means to them. I use humor and therapeutic connection to create a comfortable environment where emotions can come up in our work together, so change can begin in the actual session itself.

My treatment methods

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

I have been formally trained in DBT and have been using this method for the last 6 years to help folks understand their emotions, regain a sense of control over the choices, and better communicate with others.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

I help people build a new relationship with their emotions, thoughts, and feelings through the principles of mindfulness. I am trained in Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and can help people incorporate acceptance and awareness into their every-day lives.

Trauma Informed Care

I am trained in Anchored Relational Therapy for Complex-PTSD and dissociation. The people I work with walk away with a better understanding of how their life experiences and history with trauma impact the brain, how to move through activation as it shows up, and how to regain a sense of trust within themselves.
