(she/her)
Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor based on the east coast and licensed in 10 states. I've worked with virtually all populations, but have a passion for supporting young adults in their mission to conquer over thinking and minimize anxiety. I also love to provide hope and guidance to anyone working through a tough transition. Life's stressors can be minimized!
During our first session we'll cover some basic information, you will have the opportunity to share absolutely anything you would like to share, and ask any questions you may have. Then we will identify your top 1-2 current challenges.
Clients find me to be respectful, non-judgmental, appropriately funny, incredibly empathetic and understanding, and occasionally maddening. When clients say, "I never thought about it that way" (which happens often), I know they are benefitting from the therapy process.
Clients who have an idea about where they would like to go but are struggling with the best way to get there are a great match for my style. In addition, if you don't mind a sense of humor and being challenged in the way you think (I struggle to participate in negativity and shame), my strategies will be helpful for you. I've been doing this for a while but I learn something new every day. If you believe therapy is a combined effort, we are a great match.

Over thinking can be paralyzing. And more often than not, those excessive thoughts are not positive. CBT provides great strategies for identifying negative thoughts, introducing more helpful positive replacements, and even learning ways to avoid the negative thinking all together.
Person-centered (Rogerian)
In therapy, the client guides the process. As a counselor, I provide the safe, non-judgmental, unconditional care for clients to just "be." This safe space provides endless opportunities for clients to resolve challenges and identify their strengths. I love helping clients identify and nurture their super powers. Often our biggest challenges become our greatest strengths.
Mindfulness-Based Therapy
Mindfulness-based therapy helps clients develop greater awareness and acceptance of their thoughts, feelings, and reactions, reducing stress. The resulting present-moment focus increases calm and emotional regulation. This approach is especially effective in managing anxiety, depression, and chronic pain by fostering nonjudgmental self-awareness and self-compassion.

She is easy to talk to and gives honest, genuine feedback. I love that she is not a “scripted therapist”. You can tell when someone is reciting what they’ve learned and that’s not helpful for me personally. I feel comfortable in being open with her.

Lisa was recommended to me by my wife’s therapist based on my specific beliefs and things I needed to work through in therapy & she has been nothing shy of AMAZING. I’m a “yapper” & Lisa lets me yap, she listens/analyzes, and then offers advice, constructive solutions & a different outlook on things.. I have seen quite a few different therapists and none have been as easy to talk to and reason with. I’m unsure if I’m allowed to say this, but I LOVE Lisa. I bet you would too.
