Hi, I'm Scarlett. I focus on understanding you as a whole person with your mental health, spiritual, environmental, and connections with other people. I use mindfulness, empathic understanding and cognitive therapy to help you learn skills to challenge negative thoughts processes and also explore your thoughts deeply in a non judgemental space. I enjoy using art and also strive to help my LGBTQ+ clients.

Get to know me

In our first session together, here's what you can expect

Counseling with me is like sitting down and having some coffee and talking about the hard things. I create a empathetic non judgemental space where you are supported to grow into the best version of yourself. In the first session I will ask questions about family, important moments in your life, and explore with you what has brought you to counseling to listen to your story.

The biggest strengths that I bring into our sessions

I love using art to look at things from a different perspective and help you come up with new ideas about a struggle. Art in counseling can be as simple as just having a pencil and paper. I also use mindfulness to help you stay in the present moment to defeat negative thoughts and intrusive thoughts to give you more control in your life.

The clients I'm best positioned to serve

My ideal clients are people struggling with trauma, life transitions, relationship difficulties or religious trauma. I love clients who are excited to get creative, theorize about deep thoughts, enjoy speaking in metaphor, and need a hand processing the difficult things that have happened in life and transforming from them.

My treatment methods

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

With my mindfulness approach I help clients learn coping skills to balance their emotions and come back from catastrophic thinking to the here and now. Mindfulness can retrain the brain to healthily manage ADHD, depression, anxiety, and many others.

Person-centered (Rogerian)

My therapy is person centered which means I create a safe non judgemental space for us to explore your genuine self wether you're healing difficult life experiences or transitions, trauma, religious trauma, or relationship difficulties.

Scarlett is an incredible therapist who met me where I was in one of the lowest points of my life. Since beginning to work with her, I have seen such a great transformation in my life and feel more comfortable in my own skin and in my abilities to grow. Scarlett offers a very safe place to address the really difficult things in life. She will challenge you and leave you thinking after the session. I am truly a better human since working with her and I am very grateful for her time and compassion
