(she/her)
Hello! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in grief/loss, difficulty adjusting, anxiety and depression. I utilize an eclectic approach when working with clients, but primarily drawing from my work with CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), as well as the DBT skills (dialectical behavioral therapy) mindfulness skills I have acquired in my experience. I have had an extensive background in healthcare as a community hospital social worker, as well as experience with hospice patients and their families.
In our first session together, I like to start the process of truly getting to know you and your current situation. I come into session with no other agenda other than to really see and hear you as you are now.
Clients have shared that they appreciate my ability to gently challenge negative thinking, all without feeling judged. I have a strict "no-judgement" policy, because thoughts are just that...thoughts! Its what we choose to do with those thoughts that matters.
My approach tends to be a good fit for adults dealing with anxiety, depression, challenges adjusting to life transitions, those experiencing grief/loss, or those having difficulty navigating chronic health conditions. I find I am most helpful when clients come to therapy with at least a curiosity for the process. It is then my job to build your trust and establish our collaboration in your care.

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)
I have extensively used CBT to treat those with anxiety, depression, adjustment disorders, grief/loss, and challenges with chronic illness. Although there is a specific framework to this treatment method, I believe that one size does not fit all, and make sure each treatment plan is tailored to each client.
