I believe healing begins in a space where you feel seen, heard, and accepted without judgment. My goal is to create a supportive, authentic environment where you can safely explore your inner world. I approach each person with empathy and respect, honoring the uniqueness of your experience. Together, we move at your pace to deepen understanding, build insight, and support lasting growth. I practice from a trauma-informed, culturally responsive perspective that respects the diverse experiences shaping who you are. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership that fosters self-awareness, strengthens resilience, and supports meaningful change. My work is grounded in person-centered therapy, emphasizing empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard. I also integrate evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Family Systems Therapy, and mindfulness, tailoring each session to your needs and goals.
In our initial sessions, we’ll focus on building trust while exploring what brings you to therapy and identifying goals that feel authentic and achievable. My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, grounded in the belief that you have the capacity for growth and change. I’m here to support you with insight and tools as you move toward healing, clarity, and fulfillment.

Melissa is an exceptionally supportive therapist, with particular skills in validation, active listening and offers an overall warmth and authenticity to her practice. She worked with me through harmful thought patterns and ensures that we find a solution together. Aside from this striking balance of warmth and professionalism, she's innately a kind human being. I will miss her very much as I move out of state.
