As more people begin to see the value in taking care of their mental health, the demand for high-quality therapy continues to rise.

According to the recently released 2024 Mental Health Awareness Report by Grow Therapy, which includes the results of Grow Therapy’s national survey of Grow Therapy’s provider partners, 68% of therapists report that the demand for therapy is on the rise, as they are seeing an increase in the number of patients seeking therapy for the first time.

Grow therapists report that most patients start to see tangible results after anywhere from 2-8 therapy sessions (78%).

Millennials make up the largest group seeking therapy (68%), compared to Gen Z (21%), Gen X (9%) and Boomers (1%).

Demand for Therapy is Here to Stay

Jake Cooper, CEO and Co-Founder of Grow Therapy, notes that the demand for therapy across all age groups is not going away anytime soon. “The findings from our annual mental health awareness report reveal that the demand for therapy is not going away and that those who seek therapy are finding tangible results to help manage their mental health.”

The uncertainty of world contributes to the need for quality mental health care, and Cooper emphasizes this need: “Access to quality mental healthcare is critical to navigating the obstacles that are thrown at us along the way.”
