Do you have habits, hang-ups, or daily life problems that you just can't seem to shake? Have you sensed that you may benefit from talking about your issues, but just haven't known where to start? I aim to give my clients an opportunity to discuss their struggles, process their emotions, and work towards practical solutions. I enjoy helping clients gain a better understanding of what their problems really are and collaborate with them on setting realistic goals. I believe everyone is capable of learning healthy coping skills that can make life more manageable. Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, or relationship issues, I'm here to help. I realize whether this is your first time seeking therapy or you've been down this road before, it can be difficult to come to counseling. You deserve a safe space to heal and grow. In our sessions together, I strive to be compassionate while also utilizing evidenced based approaches such as DBT and CBT. I believe you are capable of making the changes you desire to make; take that first step!
What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?
In our first session, I will verbally cover some ground rules to include the limitations of confidentlity. Then, I will begin to review the intake form that you took the time to complete and begin to explore what goals you wish to achieve in therapy. My goal is always to begin to build rapport and help you to feel more comfortable with the therapy process.
Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.
I find that I do well meeting with clients where they are at and helping them to identify and establish realistic goals. My specialties include helping clients work through depression, anxiety, panic attacks, addiction, ADHD, and relationship problems. I also like helping clients establish career and self-improvement goals.
