Welcome! Do you often feel overwhelmed with all of life's demands? Are you repeating the same patterns over and over in your relationships or parenting? Are you experiencing a major life transition and feel alone? Therapy is a helpful and courageous act to process the areas where we feel stuck in our lives. I'm Allison, an LCSW in Northern California and I work with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues and parenting challenges. With gentle support and understanding, I love to empower my clients to find healthy ways to cope with their stress and get to the root of their struggles. Using a compassionate and honest approach, together we can work collaboratively to create positive changes that align with your life's goals.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together will start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you’re facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a mom of two young children and someone who has lived with anxiety most of my life, I can relate to my clients on a level that is authentic and honest. Every treatment modality that I use with my clients, I've studied and believe in wholeheartedly because I know it works! My niche is helping couples, parents, and especially women who find it challenging with balancing all of the roles they carry. Together, we find a way to make life feel more enjoyable again and start to live more mindfully!

My treatment methods

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

I’ve been using CPT in my practice for the past few years. It’s helped dozens of clients process their thoughts and find ways to accept their feelings. We’ll use CPT to recognize how your symptoms might be stemming from a conflict between old beliefs about yourself and the world, often derived from childhood, and how they can often keep us stuck and hold us back.

Psychodynamic

With this approach to talk therapy, we'll focus on building insight into your unconscious thoughts, fears and patterns within the concept of how you view yourself and in your relationships.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

ACT is designed to help individuals develop psychological flexibility by accepting their thoughts and feelings rather than attempting to change or eliminate them, and by committing to actions that are in line with their values.
