I have over 18 years of experience providing caring and effective therapy to clients struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, relationship issues, chronic conditions, and life transitions. During my time, I have worked with clients of all ages, starting at 4 years of age. My therapeutic approach draws from cognitive-behavioral therapy, clinical hypnosis, and mindfulness practices to help clients gain insight and make positive changes. My objective is to work these techniques into a seamless conversation. While our sessions may seem like a conversation with a friend, it does have purpose, to help you achieve your needs. During our collaboration we will define you goals, determine what works for you, specifically, and reinforce the new skills to make the changes last.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

I consider our first session a two-way interview. You interviewing me to see if I am someone who is able to help you in the way that you need to be helped. I am interviewing you, gathering background information and evaluating your situation, to see if I can be of help to you as an individual. It should feel like a conversation with someone you feel comfortable with.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I enjoy seeing other people thrive. It is the reason that I have continued in this profession. Helping others achieve their goals has always been an uplifting experience for the both myself and the person with whom I am working. My belief has always been that anyone who desires to make changes for themselves will receive all the skills and encouragement that I can provide.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Currently certified with T.E.A.M.-CBT from Dr. D. Burns' Feeling Good Institute. This and the Rogerian, person-centered, approach are the cornerstones of my practice.

Hypnotherapy

I have completed the basic and advanced hypnotherapy courses provided by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis, through the Florida Society of Clinical Hypnosis. I have seen much success with clients who have been given the fountain for change through various modalities. While this approach is not suitable for all clients, it can be discussed as a possible modality.
