Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) based in Texas. I recently moved from Wisconsin and have my counseling license in both states! I received my Masters from Lakeland University and have been working in the mental health field for over 5 years. I help teens and adults struggling with common issues like anxiety, depression, relationships, and stress management. I am passionate about helping my clients feel in control of their own happiness.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we will start with introductions and getting to know each other. I would then love to hear about the specific challenges you're facing and create an individualized treatment plan together. I will lead you through the process and ensure we are on the same page. By the end of the first session, I want you to feel confident in your decision to dedicate time to yourself in therapy.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

By working with many people from different backgrounds, I understand that therapy can look different for everyone. As your provider, I will prioritize your individual needs. Don't worry if you aren't sure what you need - we can even figure that out together. My goal is for you to be heard, understood, and supported as we work toward your goals.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I often use CBT if you struggle with anxiety, depression, or a combination of both. CBT focuses on your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions to identify unhelpful or unhealthy habits. Then, we replace them with habits that better serve you and allow you to regain control over your emotions.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

With the fast-paced world we live in, it’s easy to get caught up in it. At times, we all forget to slow down and wind up feeling overwhelmed and exhausted. With Mindfulness-Based Therapy, you will not only learn when you need to rest, but you will also learn HOW to rest. This can look different for everyone, so expect this to be tailored to your own needs and what works best for you!

Strength-Based

Let’s use your personal strengths to your advantage! This approach explores what is already going well and adding more focus to that. Our brains tend to be a bit pessimistic sometimes, so this approach works by increasing motivation and confidence.
