Welcome! I am Carylee Eaton, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Minnesota but also licensed in Oregon, South Carolina, Virginia and Florida. What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

The primary goal of the first session is to build rapport and for you to decide if we are a good fit. Having a good connection with your therapist is important because you are sharing concerns you may not really share with others. It is important that you feel the match is good. It is important that I have a good understanding of you and your concerns so many questions are asked to help us to be on the same page.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strengths include my ability to be non-judgemental, objective, and calm while at the same time being direct, to the point, compassionate and supportive.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist individuals with challenging reoccurring negative thoughts, thought patterns and beliefs that impact their life negatively and to understand how our thoughts directly shape our emotional and behavioral responses.

Solution Focused Brief Treatment

Solution-Focused Brief Therapy is used with the individual to collaboratively identify goals reflective of their best hopes and develop solutions to presenting concerns.

Narrative

Narrative Therapy is used to gain an understanding of the individual's life stories. Stories they tell themselves that become part of who they believe they are and will be. Practicing externalization and separating concerns from the individual's identity allows for better management of anxiety and depression.

Humanistic

The focus is on supporting individuals in making choices that help them live their best lives and reach their highest potential. This approach intertwines other therapy approaches to create a unique client-centered approach to therapy.
