Welcome! I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist practicing in the golden state of California. I received my Master’s from John F. Kennedy University in California and have been practicing for 8 years. I work with couples, families and individuals as young as 16 years of age. I look forward to supporting you and working towards a better version of yourself! A little about myself: I love being active, which includes hiking, cycling, working out in the gym. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I believe in practicing what I share with clients, I don’t just say things and live the complete opposite. SELFCARE is the best care and the best way to ensure you’re in the best position to help! Be well. And cheers to a long healthy life!

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session you can expect to receive a brief introduction to my therapeutic approach including my theoretical orientation, an explanation of the process of therapy, sharing information about yourself and learning some fun facts about me! You can expect helpful transparency. You can expect support AND accountability. You can expect a therapist that values, respects and is honored to be a part of your healing journey.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

In my years of practicing, I can honestly say, based on the feedback given from clients, I’m good at making people feel comfortable, seen and heard, as well as a deeper appreciation for themselves and their life experiences.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

The CBT method has been helpful in treating a range of symptoms and one found to be useful throughout my approach. CBT can assist with exploring a person’s current beliefs about something, which may be harmful and irrational. Through the use of CBT, we can improve current beliefs to ones that are rational, factual and create space for healthier responses.

Culturally Sensitive Therapy

I believe it is helpful to have an approach that considers a client’s cultural background as well as having an awareness of what both implicit and explicit biases.

Attachment-based

This approach is helpful as we explore early life experiences and relationships with caregivers and how that might contribute to how a person forms relationships present day.

Strength-Based

I believe it is helpful to recognize things a person is doing well with their current abilities, rather than focusing only on problems or origin of the problem.
