As a psychologist, I want my clients to know they are not alone, and that there is hope. It is important for clients to feel safe to express their feelings openly. It is vital that insight be gained into one’s behavior and how your thoughts and actions can impact the way you feel. As a psychologist, I specialize in treating women coping with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, imposter syndrome, and maternal mental health.I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, where the therapist and client work together. I want my clients to feel empowered, and gain tools that they can utilize to cope with difficult emotions. Where they will feel that they are in control and dictate their own actions, and not allow emotions such as fear or sadness steal their hope and happiness away. I promise that your feelings will be recognized and validated. You will never be judged, and you will be supported throughout your journey. Often feelings of helplessness lead to hopelessness. I want you to know that these feelings can change, and be replaced by feelings of strength and excitement for the future. I provide both video and telephone sessions, let me know what works best for you.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

As a Licensed Psychologist I work with female clients to help them recognize their courage, power, and unimaginable resiliency. I utilize a very proactive approach and strongly believe learning techniques you can utilize in real life helps us to feel that we are in control of our bodies and emotions and that we get to dictate the life we want to lead.

What treatment methods and tools do you utilize?

The treatments methods that I utilize are cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

As a licensed psychologist I believe the most important aspect for therapy to be successful is the trust that is created in therapy between therapist and client. It can be scary meeting a therapist for the first time, a complete stranger, and telling this person things that you may not have told another soul. This is where the establishment of trust comes to be important. You want to feel safe and be able to express yourself freely, knowing there is no judgment, just compassion and care. My biggest strength as a psychologist is providing that environment so you no longer have to internalize your emotions, but can say them out loud, and feel that it will be ok.
