I consider effective mental health treatment to be a life-changing experience and it is my goal as your therapist to support you 100% in reaching your goals. My philosophy is this: "I'll always help if you'll always try." I have worked with a wide variety of people, and find that almost all of us can connect as fellow humans. I am currently licensed in North Carolina, West Virginia, Florida, Tennessee, and California, and make my home in beautiful Southern Oregon. PLEASE NOTE THAT I HAVE A FULL-TIME PRACTICE OUTSIDE OF GROW AND IF YOUR FIRST APPOINTMENT CHOICE IS MADE FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY OR 2-3 DAYS AWAY, I WILL LIKELY HAVE TO MOVE IT OUT SEVERAL DAYS. IF YOUR NEED IS MORE EMERGENT, THEN PLEASE ACCESS CARE LOCALLY OR YOU MAY FIND ANOTHER THERAPIST ON GROW THERAPY THAT IS AVAILABLE SOONER. I TRY TO BALANCE HELPING AS MANY AS I CAN WITHOUT COMPROMISING THE CARE. THANK YOU, SAM

Imagine life is like a journey completely in your control but you feel stuck. Choices you make dictate life’s obstacles and they can be tricky. Life’s journey comes with no instruction pamphlet or ready-made companions. A path unfolds and you decide what to do and who to trust along the way. As you journey you begin to see things you want, potential companions, places you want to explore, and tools you can use to make travels simpler. There are so many choices to make with no time to stop and contemplate the best decision; you have to keep going by making choices every day, about everything. Decisions and deadlines do not wait. Consequences of decisions do not wait for preparations of readiness. Age does not determine how hard life can be nor deter reality. Whether you are age 5 or 95, you have to wake up daily and continue life’s journey, but it is not always an easy task. My theoretical orientation is Person-Centered Therapy and Gestalt Therapy. Let me be your Phoenix! I believe life’s tools are inside of us, self-actualization, self-trust, coping strategies, and the willingness to grow. We simply must explore them. At Rapunzel's Phoenix Counseling Services, I help toddlers, children, adolescents, adults, families, and the LGBTQIAPK community. Online Counseling Services are available upon request.

Do you find yourself tired of having other people's worldviews and judgments imposed upon you? Do you feel that no matter how hard you try, nothing you do is ever enough? It is my goal to provide a safe space where clients can truly be themselves without fear of judgment. As a result, I do not believe in a one size fits all approach to therapy. I work to tailor each session to fit the needs of the person/persons in front of me. I work with couples and families to help them find peace and stability in their relationships. I also have extensive experience working with children and teenagers, having worked with them in various settings and roles. These experiences enable me to consider every aspect of their life, and how they affect the child and teen's well being and mental health. I am honored to work with my clients, and do not take the responsibility lightly. During our sessions I will offer compassion, hope and ways to deal with the issues you are facing.
