Hello, I am Angela S. Morgan, Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas. I am licensed in Texas with 6 years of professional work experience. I am also a licensed chemical dependency counselor with 22 years of professional work experience. I specialize in working with clients who are living with anxiety, depression, and various mood disorders. I also work with clients looking to gain skills in anger management, parenting, and coping appropriately with everyday life stressors.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. I believe that open, direct, and transparent communication is essential and fosters mutual respect in the therapeutic relationship. I am here to listen, encourage, support, and challenge you along the journey to healing. It's important to get to know clients and their needs and wants for therapy through an initial consultation and the first meeting. The second or third appointment, we will develop measurable, attainable goals that you would like to achieve. I believe therapy is enhanced outside the therapeutic environment when the skills and techniques learned are practiced, as they facilitate positive, long-term life changes.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

I'm a great listener and emoopathic. Often, my clients provide feedback that they appreciate the patience and care I extend to them. I like to challenge my clients to grow and then offer tools and support to reach their best potential. I also value setting realistic goals with clients and celebrating the wins that are accomplished both in and out of the therapeutic session.
