What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

In our first session together, we'll start with brief introductions, then dive into the specific challenges you're facing. This will help me create a tailored plan for us to work through in follow-up sessions.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

My strength is a provider are compassion, care and willingness to advocate for clients' best interests. I work with a philosophy of genuine care for the needs of others. My background in service especially as a healthcare chaplain has allowed me to expand my awareness of a variety of cultural and ethnic backgrounds. I enjoy helping others identify or strengthen their beliefs in themselves.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

Currently, I have extensive experience in working with persons dealing with the following issues, understanding their spirituality/grief, anxiety &/or depression. I enjoy working with children & family issues (including couples /marriage therapy). My clients are eager to improve, but don't yet have the tools needed to make this goal a reality. My treatment methods

Person-centered (Rogerian)

I hold a person- centered philosophy if care. Additionally, I use existentialist and dignity therapies approaches however cognitive therapy is primarily used. Both therapies are used to identify cognitive, emotive, and behavioral issues which may help address problems. I seek to provide a holistic approach to care and counseling. This means I identify spirituality/emotional, psychological, social constructs as a part of the complete person and their needs. I believe that the individual needs of the client are most essential. The relationship of the counselor and client is the most important for a successful therapeutic relationship.
