Hello! I'm Hayley. I'm a master’s level clinician for mental health and addiction counseling, specializing in military mental health. I am also nearing completion of a doctoral program in business administration specializing in healthcare administration. I am the co-founder of Renewed Valor Ventures, a nonprofit assisting in the reintegration, education, camaraderie, and support efforts of veterans, first responders, and emergency personnel, and also own the company At Ease Association, LLC.

What can clients expect to take away from sessions with you?

You can expect to be empowered, encouraged, and educated in an empathetic and nonjudgmental way with support through every step. Your treatment will be tailored to fit you specifically.

Explain to clients what areas you feel are your biggest strengths.

Working from a director level overseeing multiple facilities with varying educational backgrounds, I can see both clinical and business perspectives and do not confuse the two. Putting your treatment at the forefront of our time together will help you grow and thrive.

Describe the client(s) you are best positioned to serve.

I take the approach of being understanding, empathetic, encouraging, and straightforward. Utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and psychoeducation as a base, it is important that I help equip you with lifelong tools to help you succeed while holding you accountable in doing so.

My treatment methods

Cognitive Behavioral (CBT)

Utilizing CBT will help you identify and challenge negative thought patterns and behaviors, aiming to replace them with healthier ones through various techniques such as cognitive restructuring, behavior modification, and skill-building exercises.

Cognitive Processing (CPT)

The use of CPT guides you through structured discussions and exercises to help you confront and reframe traumatic experiences, aiming to alleviate distress by addressing maladaptive beliefs and coping strategies related to the trauma.

Acceptance and commitment (ACT)

Using ACT will assist you in fostering psychological flexibility by encouraging you to acknowledge and accept your thoughts and feelings, while also helping you clarify your values and commit to actions aligned with those values, ultimately promoting personal growth and well-being.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT)

During a dialectical behavior therapy session, we will employ a combination of acceptance and change strategies to help you develop mindfulness skills, regulate emotions, improve interpersonal relationships, and enhance distress tolerance, fostering a balance between acceptance of current circumstances and the pursuit of positive change.

Mindfulness-Based Therapy

We will use mindfulness-based therapy to cultivate present moment awareness through mindfulness practices such as meditation and focused breathing exercises, fostering self-compassion and non-judgmental observation of thoughts and emotions, ultimately promoting psychological well-being and resilience.
