Hello, I am Chris Coleman. I possess 2 Masters degrees: Professional Counseling & Addiction Counseling. A dually licensed therapist in Virginia as a Licensed Professional Counselor & Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Provider. I work with those challenged with substance use, mental health and co-occurring disorders. I have over two decades in the field, demonstrating compassion, non-condemning, empathic setting, with a direct approach to meet you where you are.

I am a licensed clinical social worker and practice in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. I have been providing therapy for close to 15 years to help my client address mental health symptoms including depression, trauma, life transitions and anxiety. I believe people are inherently capable of managing their circumstances but sometimes require some assistance from a therapist to succeed.

I specialize in providing counseling for anxiety, loss, relationship challenges, and trauma with a focus on increasing self-esteem and building onto current resiliency. I am a firm believer that all of us go through tough times in our lives, but also that given the proper therapeutic tools you will meet your mental health goals.
