Feeling like you can't quite keep it together? Sometimes we get overwhelmed with the stresses in life and need help sorting them out. Maybe you've just hit a low point or feeling overly worried and anxious. Talking to a therapist has helped many people who are feeling the same way. The last few years have been more than difficult, and people are struggling. I help people figure out what's working well for them and what's not. Then we explore together the many strengths and skills you already have and can use to overcome the problems life throws at us. I teach new skills and introduce new tools that you can use to feel better and get your life back on track. I have many years of experience working with people with depression and anxiety as well as bipolar and schizophrenia. I am accepting of varying types of diversity and use solution focused methods with compassion and caring to create and meet the therapeutic goals that are unique to you. Starting therapy can be hard but it can change your life. I would love to work with you to start that process and look forward to meeting you.

Welcome! The Ebbs and Flows of Life are something we all experience. We flow towards our hopes and dreams, while other times we may flow away. When your life ebbs it is like you are struggling against the current, and fighting your way through the current to grasp what is important to you. Perhaps the times you are flowing away are a result of relationship concerns, addiction, past trauma, anxiety or living with negativity. Like large rocks under the water, you may not be able to see them but they are creating obstacles in achieving your goals while potentially impacting both your health and well-being. I believe that by taking this step in seeking help you are interested in moving forward back to what is important to you. My role is to help you on your journey.

Welcome, and thank you for considering me as a therapist to partner with you on your therapy journey! Taking the first steps to change your life can be challenging and, at times, a bit scary. I can relate to and understand how taking those initial steps to start a new journey can be uncomfortable. I strive to provide a warm, safe, and nonjudgemental environment where clients can feel comfortable working towards their goals utilizing tailored therapeutic techniques. Therapy is a partnership between the therapist and the client to work towards creating positive changes that one would like to focus on in their life. I have twenty-five years of experience working with adults, adolescents, children, couples, and families to address relationship issues, anxiety, depression, women's issues, grief, ADHD, and life transitions. With the proper support, I feel anyone can make advancements toward their goals. I look forward to the opportunity to partner with you on your journey of growth! Hello I am Laura Cahill! I am a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a love for the art of engagement in the work of therapy. Do you feel like your emotions have taken over and pushed you out of the driver's seat in life? In life, we often experience challenges, unexpected stress and transitions, trauma, hurt, grief and loss. Understandably, we may struggle with powerful emotions that seem to almost overtake us. Part of the human experience is wanting to feel in control of our inner and outer lives. And when our natural emotional responses to difficult experiences and circumstances threaten that sense of control, we may find ourselves fighting our feelings. It’s time to step back from the battle-not by retreating, but by re-framing. Our emotions and feelings are not our enemies, they are messengers. This is where our work begins. We will focus on how to hear those messages by learning the skills needed to hear, manage and interact with these feelings to help calm the turmoil that life has taken on, understand and recover from the past, and to be fully present to our current experiences. To have the opportunity to create a life that is built on your terms and not defined by what has happened to you. Entering into the world of therapy can feel overwhelming and a bit scary (well done making it this far). I applaud your bravery and commitment to your process of healing and recovery and I would be honored to have the opportunity to get to know you better and to be a part of this journey with you.

Hello, Welcome to Grow Therapy. My name is Wendy. The best way to know if we are a good match is to talk; feel free to call me directly and leave me a message about what you are looking for, and I will call you back. We can set a time to meet in person or virtually. My direct number is 540-385-4082. The calendar on this site may not reflect my actual availability. I offer therapeutic services for adults (18 and on). I am experienced working with individuals with special needs, including those with autism and learning disabilities, and their families, who are able and willing to learn skills and participate in the therapeutic process. I have experience working with children, but I am not a play therapist. I can help children learn skills but need parents to be actively involved in the work. We each have a story, a life full of experiences and potential. However, we can become overwhelmed when dealing with life struggles and hardships that come our way. We can feel like we do not know what to do and feel lost and overwhelmed. While doing our best to live in the present, we can still get stuck in the past. Life is a gift but can be tricky and downright challenging. Sometimes we need a helping hand. That is where I might come in.

I feel that clients shouldn't have to be in therapy forever! While co-creating this process with you, I strive to balance my active listening with imparting active, hands-on techniques to help you reclaim your narrative and overcome obstacles in your path. I feel it's about more water rather than less soda, so to speak, and take both a clinical and holistic approach to helping you enhance alignment and experience deeper fulfillment in your journey. Along with my LCSW, I am trained in EMDR, certified in Theta Healing, Reiki, Transformational Life Coaching, and Therapeutic Touch, and Master Practitioner certified in Neuro Linguistic Programming, Hypnotherapy, and Time Line Therapy. I feel I provide a safe space where shame and judgements are left at the door, and we will explore your wants, needs, and feelings with curiosity and compassion. I feel it's very much a co-created process, as you know more about you than I ever will. The work is also far more about our uncovering your truth than you adopting mine. With that said, I have a wide array of modalities and approaches I feel I have quite dialed in, and we can collaboratively determine which tools and approaches best suit your needs. My hope is that our work together will help you feel not only hear and validated, but also empowered and aware of how to eat the elephant on your own going forward. I see this work as us walking side by side, with you gradually taking the lead with me supportively in your corner. If you have something pressing you wish to discuss in session, that will always take precedence. My job is ultimately to actively listen and hold space. With that said, if that's all I was doing, you'd inevitably say, "Robby, you're a nice guy. But I don't know how much we're actually getting done." To that end, I feel it's far more important to determine HOW you think rather than WHAT you think. So it tends to be important for us to explore unconscious limiting beliefs and emotions along with the conscious. You can also expect to learn clear and concise action steps (ranging from mindfulness exercises to creative writing prompts to holistic practices like meditation and breathwork) to help you regulate your emotions and reclaim your narrative. I feel that many people are hesitant to engage in therapy because they perceive a stigma tied to seeking support. After all, the notion of "mentally ill" does have a negative connotation. The way I see it, though the process is not about fixing a broken thing, but rather enhancing one's alignment and fulfillment (and okay, yes, also confronting obstacles to those pieces). But if the focus is on "Where am I trying to get to and how will I know that I got there?" where our work is to simply close the gap between here and there, it can help us leave shame and judgements at the door, and perhaps even enable you to look forward to increased awareness and empowerment in your journey forward.

My name is Bethany Gravely. I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 2018. I continue to feel the same passion for my job now as I did when I first started. I am so proud of you for taking the first step to talk about your mental health. Choosing the right therapist can be a rewarding experience, but also scary. It is my job to help you navigate the stressors of life and explore different ways for you to cope with them. We all experience stress on some level so your feelings are valid and worth discussing with someone who truly cares! My style of counseling allows for you to be in charge of your therapy. If you want helpful reading material, evidenced based practices, solutions or just a listening ear, my goal is to help you with where you are today. You are not a burden. You are not undeserving. You are not broken, or a mess to be cleaned up. You are so endlessly enough. When I’m not working, I am spending time with my husband, our two little ones, our 3 dogs, and our cat. We just recently bought a 40 acre farm and spend our free time making it our forever home! We are hopeful to bring in larger farm animals in the upcoming years and learn to homestead!
