With over 18 years of experience and a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology granted at the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, I am best positioned to serve individuals and families navigating challenges such as family conflicts, trauma, PTSD, and anxiety. I received my Masters in Social Work, Planning, and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University have over 20 years of experience in the field of social work, advocating and serving people with disabilities in their community. I have extensive experience working with children and adults assisting them in both English and Spanish. I received my undergraduate degree in Studio Art from Mary Washington and also work as an accomplished artist. My love for art and social work is the focus of my practice. I work in the expressive arts and EMDR and am working towards certification in both. I believe in the healing power of art and its use in mental health recovery. I am an experienced Licensed Clinical Social worker, with over a decade of experience providing therapy. I am caring, and empathetic. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Master Degree in Social Work, both from Florida International University. Prior to working as a therapist, I’ve worked with different agencies such Vocational Rehabilitation, the Foster care system, Community clinics which have made me well versed and resourceful. Prior to graduating with my masters I completed internships in a Psychiatric hospital and a substance abuse rehabilitation center.
