My experience is diverse as I have worked in private practice, in both inpatient and outpatient psychiatric settings and in long term outpatient treatment for a local mental health agency in the past. However, I was born and raised in South Texas and la frontera (the borderlands) is also very much part of my identity. My primary focus in my practice is to build relational trust and confidence within yourself and the world around you. I specialize in trauma-informed therapeutic interventions and grief therapy. Recent events have brought so much uncertainty to many of us and I believe that mental health is essential to building strong foundations for our lives. My intent within my practice is to create a safe space for all of your experiences. I have been dedicated to providing community mental health interventions for the past 7 years. I have pursued my training in cognitive-behavioral therapy, stage-based trauma therapy, LGBTQIA-affirmative therapy, and relational couples and family therapy.
