I am an optimistic person and believe in the best in people. My educational background includes a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Texas. Then, I became very interested in studying human behavior and decided to pursue a master's degree in Psychology. After graduating with my master's degree in Psychology from the University of Texas, I became aware that I did not know enough and for such reason I decided to go back to school and completed a master's degree in Counseling from the University of Texas. Hello Friend!
Everyone, at one point or another, may feel weighed down. We may even describe the feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration' dealing with a host of unbearable stressors. Some may describe feeling anxious, fatigue, or sadness, our unique threshold depleted from stress.
But did you know anxious energy is normal? Many would not know what is wrong and call it stress. Others as tired. Anxiousness is innate in all of us, used to escape danger. What's not healthy is when stressors cross the threshold of what feels comfortable to interrupt daily habits/responsibilities, leaving us depleted. But how do we 'fix things' when all we want is to be alone?
When life throws us lemons, do we make lemonade? YES! As simple as finding a helper - me.
I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find YOUR empowerment.
My journey began as a young child whose home life was a host of struggles/abuse which later became insight into the struggle others experience. In my case, a well-regarded psychotherapist helped me to learn life-long cognitive tools. My work as a psychotherapist began in a clinical setting. I garnered a vast amount of knowledge which helped me to specialize in various modalities of treatment. Proper psychotherapists should emphasize there is no such thing as "the magic pill" and most treatments don't require medication. I hold a high standard for clients' rights as a mental health advocate and a high standard for myself. I serve all slices of society including those dealing with depression, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, past trauma, adjustment, chronic health and other issues.
Together, we can identify what's not working for you. We can find solutions you innately use and form goals that do NOT require much change in your life - ultimate healing.

I currently live in Texas and am licensed in Texas and Wisconsin. I enjoy a great variety of interests so it may be easiest to say I have a great appreciation for most things. Many people would describe me as having a great sense of humor and I do enjoy laughing and love hearing the laughter of others; In the very moment we laugh, for that brief instant, we forget all of our problems and find joy. It may be difficult to remain there, but if we can find if for one moment, we can find it each day.
I specialize in client-focused therapy, existential psychotherapy, and mindfulness to help you find your way and explore what is meaningful to you.

Let me help you to find the ways to cope , to understand what is going on in your life so that you can fix it. 20 years experience with every population to include adults, youth, anxiety, depression, couples, low self esteem , family issues, LGBTQI community welcome, all ethnicities and identification. It’s been said, it’s not the load that breaks us down, but the way we carry it (Anonymous).
Is it getting harder for you to carry your load? If so, let’s work together to unpack your load (beliefs), and reorganize your possessions (thoughts) to not only lighten the burden but also leave ample room for a brighter future!
I support children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, and groups to address emotional lability, behavior difficulties, anxiety, depression, anger management, trauma, conflict resolution, problem-solving, and personal growth. I have an educational and professional background in the juvenile justice system, battered women’s shelters, psychology, and public education.
During the therapy process, I assist clients in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns and developing healthy ones. In doing so, clients will uncover their strengths, build support systems, and develop healthy thought patterns to build the foundation for life's success. My question to you is, are you ready to unpack?
