Hi, I'm Dr. Nate. Do you find yourself feeling sad, empty, or unmotivated? Do you struggle with anxiety, anger, or behavior you just can't stop? Do you have a child who is struggling or a marriage that could be better? Life presents challenges and sometimes we or the ones we love could use some extra help getting through those challenges successfully. For over fifteen years, I have provided therapy and psychological testing in a variety of settings from private practices to doctor's offices, college counseling centers, and community mental health. My approach is to combine the best of psychotherapy with Christian theology to help others live the abundant life that is found in Jesus. I believe the mind, body, and spirit can all have an impact on a person's functioning, and it's my approach to address those areas that are limiting one's functioning.

At the Child & Adult Behavior Center, we help both adults and children, as well as parents. For adults, we help you find ways to cope with stress, anxiety, loss and depression. Not only talking through and understanding, but also concrete "what to do about it" coping skills, lead to calmer, more stable emotions and relationships. We find cognitive behavioral therapy very useful, and within that, learning the skills of mindfulness, a form of in-the-moment meditative thinking, to calm and focus the mind when emotions overtake. This fosters a new way of viewing and handling stressful situations as they arise. For children's therapy, we work with you, and with your child. Parents' feedback is a critical part of helping children feel and do better. We help you with parent-child interactions to find your way as you navigate the seas of child behavior. Our specializations are the treatment for Aspergers/autism, ADHD, Oppositional Defiance, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, emotional self regulation, the behavioral and emotional aspects of sensory issues, anxiety and depression. Our special programs also treat a wide range of neuroatypical, developmentally challenged children. Neuro-typical parent-child relationships, family relations, and parenting issues for all children and teens are also our focus. We help - you help your child - with ideas and techniques to put into action. Ideas that can greatly reduce the stress and storm of being a parent in the trenches. Peace in the home is possible!

Hi there, I'm Parag. You were not put here on this earth to suffer. You deserve to live your life with happiness and peace of mind. Mental illness and addiction can rob anyone of these precious gifts. When you turn to family and friends for support, often they don't know what to say or how to help. You can end up feeling very alone in the world. No one wants to develop mental illness or addictions. You didn't do anything wrong. Feeling emotionally numb, mentally overwhelmed, or having thoughts like "I just don't want to be on this earth anymore" are not things that people willingly choose for themselves. They are illnesses. We often get sick through no fault of our own. Just like some people get diabetes or heart disease, some people get mental illness. Working over five years in an inpatient psychiatric hospital, I have helped patients overcome symptoms of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, phobias, relationship problems, and self-esteem issues. My approach is to get to know you as a person and work on addressing what is really going on with your mind and your life right now. I know getting therapy can be scary, but I will do everything I can to help you feel heard, understood, and genuinely cared for. Give yourself a chance to have peace of mind again.

Hi there everyone! I'm Nicole. I aim to make therapy feel like a familiar conversation; one you can look forward to each time. Do you find yourself unhappy, sad or depressed, anxious, or feeling like you're ready to give up? Are you thinking of divorce or other relationship issues? Job stress or home or other personal issues that consume your thoughts. Talking to me may be what you need. The issues that have placed you and your wellbeing at a crossroad can be helped. I am here to help overcome any anguish, frustration and or anxiety that seems to invade your space. I am here to help you see the best version of you! Helping you become cognitive aware of what bothers you, using motivational techniques, and diving deep into the root causes of issues is how I begin to help you find the sun in your life that you need. Let's explore and overcome together. As a therapist, we are human too. We understand and are trained to help you. We can personalize a plan and help you overcome the things that may be dimming your lights or even the lights of those around you. Do not let the stigma of therapy and or the fear of it not working stop you from scheduling with me! I can't wait to meet you.

I was in the United States Marine Corps from 1998-2003 and during this time I learned a great deal about myself and became more culturally diverse. During my third year of service, I was injured at Officers Candidate School and realized that I needed to develop my counseling skills, so I worked with an agency that counseled teens regarding their addiction. I have been in the social services field for the past twenty years and have been licensed for the past 10 years. When I got out of the Marines in 2003, I went home to North Carolina and my father passed away three days later unexpectedly so, I needed a job and I was able to use my previous years working with teens and became a supervisor at Sipes Orchard Home took in unwanted children from parents, Level II and Level IV agencies, and the Department of Children and Families. After being here at this facility for two years I left as they weren't following the Medicaid standards. I left the agency and went to work for The Cognitive Connection as the Prevention Supervisor providing preventive services for teens and was part of the Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) providing groups to adults. I worked with Cognitive Connection for three years and left to go to Pensacola, Florida because I had heard they were starting a MSW program. I felt hopeful as I knew getting my master’s in social work would change my life forever. After I finished the MSW program I immediately started working for Lakeview Services in Adult Outpatient Community Mental Health and then worked in the Drug Court program. I stayed here for three years until I got a job with the DoD in Oklahoma because my wife was trying to get a federal job, so I moved to support her and my family. While working with the DoD I was able to get my supervision for licensing, created an anger management program for the DoD, and stayed until my LCSW license was finalized in December of 2013. When I came back to Florida I worked for Volunteers of America for a couple of years until a federal job opened at Veterans Affairs in Pensacola, FL, in August of 2016. I have been licensed in Florida for the past 10 years, recently became licensed in Texas and Oklahoma. I have some clients who are in therapy with me for several weeks to several months depending on their individual needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!

Everyone needs therapy. Some of us just choose to distract ourselves with the day-to-day madness. The problem with this is that life will eventually slow you down and you are unable to use those distractions. This is typically when you may feel hit hard by anxiety, panic, and depression. We will start with coping skills and mindfulness but I am here for the long haul. I am a damn good therapist, and I want to help you truly heal. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over nine years of professional experience. In 2015, I completed my master’s degree from West Texas A&M. I began my professional career with the Pavilion, an inpatient psychiatric hospital where I conducted individual, group, and family therapy. For the past seven years, I have worked with geriatric patients in an intensive outpatient program. I also do individual and couples counseling.

Greetings to you and all With a wish for good health and peace in your life. My name is Sherby John. I have been working and learning along this journey, we call life, just as you have. It can be a journey filled with joy and struggle. Have you reached a point where it seems there is more struggle than joy or feel stuck in the muck that seems to only get deeper or harder to transgress? Then maybe it is time to find new paths and options by having a guide on this journey. Therapy can be a vehicle for change and development of workable tools to assist in continuing with this journey. Whether you are dealing with Depression, Life changes, Anxiety, Relationships, Trauma, or a new medical or mental health diagnosis, therapy can be a useful mechanism for support, discernment, and information. I would like to provide you with a safe and welcoming environment and space to relieve yourself of these stressors through working on alternatives to current reactions to triggers or stressors in the way of continuing your journey, your way and at your own pace. Come in. Lets Talk. Lets get to work.
