Hello, my name is Christina and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor located in Killeen, Texas. I have a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from Drury University. I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Texas A&M University-Central Texas. I also have a certificate in Chemical Dependency and Addiction. I grew up as a military dependant (Army Brat) and later became a military spouse. I am familiar with military culture and the stresses that being in the military can put on those individuals who are serving plus their families. Growing up in a diverse military culture has helped me to be an open-minded, non-judgmental, compassionate, patient, and trauma-informed therapist. I also believe that everyone can benefit from counseling because sometimes life just gets too hard and we need a safe space to retreat, relax and regroup. I have worked with many individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, addiction, and trauma. I would love to help you to navigate through your struggles as well.

I've wanted to be a therapist since I was 9 years old. It's been a lifelong dream that I was able to achieve. My first experience with mental health is in a community mental health facility. I learned lots about major mental illness and skills training. I believe this time developed me into a therapist that "teaches" my client how to help themselves and how to relate to people on a personal level. My passions outside of work are DIY projects in my new home, crocheting, camping and my pug. I am also a wife, mother and grandmother. I am a stepmother, bio-mother, mother of twins, mother of boys, mother of girls and have a variety of ages.

Hello, my name is Kelly and I've been practicing in the state of Texas for the last 5 years and have lived here for the last 7. I'm originally from Georgia and like so many residents of Texas I am a transplant just trying to survive the scorching heat. I did all of my education and pre-licensure work in Georgia where I worked for a mobile mental health crisis team, the first of its kind in the nation. There I was able to gain some valuable experience working with populations on the fringe of society such as homeless individuals, those in jail, people in the ER needing mental health evaluations and others. I brought all of that experience with me to Texas where I specialize in Anxiety, Depression, and Bipolar Disorder and have experience with addiction and recovery from substances and alcohol. I have held several community-based therapist positions in a wide variety of roles. I have been a therapist in an addiction treatment facility for adolescents, and worked as a treatment director for a residential treatment facility for teenage girls, as I've also worked in the foster care system in Texas briefly. Since going full-time into private practice I have chosen to focus on adults mainly I also have experience with with neurodivergent individuals with ADHD as well as high-functioning Autism and learning how to function within the limitations both of those diagnoses provide on a daily basis but I do not currently specialize in those diagnoses.

Hello Friend! Everyone at one point or another will find themselves dealing with a host of unbearable stressors, as if weighed down. We may even describe the feeling as 'lost in a web of frustration'. Some may describe that sense of being as anxious, fatigue, or sadness, as if our unique threshold is completely depleted. But did you know feeling anxiousness is normal? Many would not know that feeling stress is actually a sense of determination for control and feeling tired is just temporary. Anxiousness is innate in all of us to escape danger. What's not healthy is when the stressors has crossed the threshold to what feels comfortable and interrupts our daily habits/responsibilities. But how do we 'fix things' when all we want is to be alone? When life throws us lemons, make lemonade? As simple as finding a helper - me. I’ll help you navigate the web of confusion to find YOUR empowerment. My journey began as a young child whose home was a host of struggles/abuse which later became insight into the struggles others experience. I found a well-regarded psychotherapist who helped me learn life-long cognitive tools. Later, as a psychotherapist in a clinical setting, I garnered a vast amount of knowledge which helped me to specialize in various modalities of treatment. Proper psychotherapists should emphasize there is no such thing as "the magic pill" and most treatments don't require medication. I hold a high standard for clients' rights as a mental health advocate with a high standard for myself. I serve all slices of society including those dealing with depression, grief, anxiety, relationship issues, past trauma, adjustment, chronic health and other issues. Together, we can identify what's not working for you. We will find solutions you innately use and form goals that do NOT require much change in your life.
