I'm glad that you're looking for help with whatever brought you here. I believe that therapy can be a supportive space for you and I to explore your journey. I facilitate this exploration through being attentive to you and your needs, noticing the effects of your experiences on your sense of self. We can also examine together how culture, society, and family influence our worlds, emotions, and identities. I've been practicing in school and community based settings since 2018, and received my independent license in 2023. Through working with a wide range of ages and populations, I've came to appreciate how hurt and pain are hard to carry alone, and I'm honored to be present on that journey with you. I also offer services in both English and Mandarin/Chinese.

I look forward to working with you! Specializations Addiction and/or Substance Use Concerns, Anger Management, Anxiety, Couples Counseling, Depression, Family Therapy, Grief, Health Psychology, Parenting Issues, Relationship Issues, Sleep Health, Women's Health. In our sessions, you can see into my home, and it is as if you are right there with me. No filters, no staring at a wall behind me. You will be inside of my home office as if it were in person. At our sessions I take notes that I give to you at the end of our sessions, so you have have something tangible to take with you, as well as links to resources such as podcasts, books, take home exercises (never mandatory though!) to help you progress in between sessions to make our time together more valuable. I used to be in direct service many years ago and then moved into training EAP providers and offering trainings for Mental Health providers to maintain their licenses, but during the, "Great Hiatus," I saw that people needed help. So I came back to be in the trenches. You are in good hands! I am also a student of positive psychology, but I have the ability to empathize deeply and really be right there with you. Almost all of my clients have experienced breakthroughs and by the end of our time together are enjoying their lives again and feeling competent to problem solve and develop coping tools, and resiliency.

I am an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) with experience in working with adults and children from in-patient as well as out-patient settings. I have worked with teenagers and young children for over 10 years. I specialize in working with children with trauma, anxiety, and depression. I have a heart for working with kids and teens with traumatic experiences. My passion began while I was still in high school and wanted to be a teacher. I worked in various daycare facilities as well as having my own in-home daycare and decided I wanted to help kids (and adults) in a more in-depth manner. That is when I began my journey into social work and found my true calling in life. I have experience working with children and adolescents who have been through, or are currently in, the child welfare system as well as working with older teens with substance abuse/misuse issues.
