Hi! I am an independently licensed social worker and graduated with my masters from The Ohio State University. I have been a therapist for the past 7 years and worked in the field for 10+ years. I enjoy working with a wide range of clients and using a variety of therapy modalities. This may include cognitive behavior therapy, eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy, dialectical behavior therapy and so on.

I have been practicing as a clinical social worker for over thirty years and I have never gotten bored or tired or even considered doing anything else. I am originally from New York State and got my bachelor's degree in English literature at NYU. I took some time off to travel and then settled in Houston, Texas and got my master's degree from the University of Houston. I had extensive psychoanalysis to heal my own wounds prior to becoming a therapist and, after being licensed, I became a therapist, then clinical director, of a psychiatric day treatment center. After about seven years I opened my own private practice office where I saw clients in the evening and, during the daytime, I saw clients who were referred to me for treatment in several independent living and nursing facilities, and at a residential treatment center for adults with schizophrenia and other major mental illness. Since coming to Ohio five years ago I have been in private practice and signed up with Grow Therapy in August of 2023.

I help people discover themselves, empower them with tools and knowledge, and help them heal. I help high-functioning people live their best life, unburdened by trauma, depression, anxiety, life transitions, performance issues, and more. My aim is to help you have the tools, knowledge, and experience to go into the world prepared to attain your goals.

A little about me, I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working in the behavioral health care field. I received my B.A. in Psychology and Masters of Social Work from The University of Akron. I believe in a strength based and client centered approach, where your needs and goals are at the forefront of our work together. Recognizing that there is not a one-size fits all approach to wellness, I use an eclectic therapeutic technique, tailoring therapy to the individual.

Areas which are distressing for you are addressed in a collaborative approach which accentuates the positive. This is accomplished through an empirically based multi-modal and multi-dimensional approach which incorporates all your important characteristics and strengths while developing new abilities.
