My path to who I am today — a culturally responsive, integrative, and creative practitioner — was a journey of becoming the change that I sought in the world. As a seasoned medical social worker, I realized that there was a particular need for therapists who were interested in helping those who constantly faced discrimination and health disparities. I started my company, Clinicians of the Diaspora, four years ago and have been able to promote access to equitable mental health to over 100 clients. I have discovered a particular niche in providing support to Black highly successful women. These individuals face unique challenges and I strive to create a safe and empowering space where they can explore their experiences, navigate their identities, and address any emotional or psychological barriers they may encounter. I am excited to expand this reach by joining Grow Therapy

Hello there! I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a heartfelt passion for making a positive difference in people's lives. My journey started back in 2000 when I earned my MSW from NYU. In 2007, I embarked on a transformative journey to become a Gestalt Therapist, honing my counseling skills to better serve the public. As a sex and kink-positive therapist, I help my clients explore their sexual desires, preferences, and identities. We will focus on fostering fulfilling sexual lives, emphasizing the importance of communication, consent, and destigmatizing diverse sexual expressions while respecting individual boundaries.
What sets me apart is my unwavering commitment to embracing diverse lifestyles and choices, and I bring a touch of humor to each and every session. Laughter can be a powerful tool for healing, and I believe in creating a safe and judgment-free space where you can be yourself and even find moments of lightness in your journey.

Hi there! My name is Ceresa González and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with 20 years of experience working in mental health. I have been very fortunate to recognize early in my life that my ability to intuitively understand and connect with people would lead to a lifelong career helping others do the same. At its core, I believe the relationship with ourselves is what determines how we interact with our environment, other people, and the world.
I have had a colorful career dedicated to helping others in many different capacities, including inpatient, outpatient and psychiatric emergency room settings, trauma clinics, schools, and shelters, courtrooms, prisons, and criminal justice reform. I have had opportunities to supervise and train other clinicians, educate communities, oversee programs, and contribute to social policy change.
If you’re feeling stuck, you will be amazed at how capable you are at exploring parts of yourself you never knew existed. I would like to be your guide and offer the chance to uncover patterns you may not be aware of, learn control over your emotions, stop ruminating thoughts, resolve past traumas, confront avoided thoughts, feelings, and conflict, communicate effectively, improve relationships and boundaries, and embrace life transitions - to name a few!

Hi everyone! I'm Josh. Do you struggle with social anxiety and poor self-confidence? I know that overcoming it is possible! Many come to therapy because of childhood trauma and how it has manifested in their adult lives. Often this manifests in feelings of poor self-confidence, self-worth, and social anxiety. At its root, the fundamental belief of those who have social anxiety is the belief, “I am not enough.” Clients get into the habit of comparing themselves to others and it makes them feel inadequate and insecure. Over time clients begin to avoid situations that elicit their anxiety, particularly social situations. This can lead to social isolation and loneliness. Clients will present with complaints of frequent panic attacks, not having a romantic partner, not having friends, not being happy in their jobs and feeling disconnected from life. They are labeled by others as shy, quiet, or introverted. This scenario described myself for much of my life which gives me lived experience to better able to assist you. I help individuals combat their social fears and begin to live a rich and fulfulling life. I do this through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques primarily but also integrate solution-focused therapy, assertiveness training, exposure therapy, and acceptance & commitment therapy. Whether you're a teen struggling to make friends and socialize or you are an adult unable to speak up at work meetings or unable to ask someone out on a date, I'm here for you! Seeking therapy can be frightening but I want to assure you that you will be most welcome if you take that leap of faith!
