I received my master’s degree in social work from University of South Carolina. My post-graduate work focuses predominately on child welfare, specifically working with young children, young adolescents, and their families who have experienced trauma within their home. I also have considerable experience working with numerous populations such as victims of domestic violence, mental illness, substance abuse, homelessness, and those who are developmentally disabled. I use a number of different therapeutic approaches when working with clients, focusing mainly on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Hello there, I'm Heather. Are you experiencing anxiety, depression, or difficulty adjusting to life transitions? Are you noticing that things are overwhelming and more difficult to cope with because of the many stressors in life? Do you feel that you worry too much, are not good enough, or feel like you're stuck? Do you feel like you are all alone, that you have no one who really listens, understands you, or can relate to what you are going through? Well look no further because I specialize in alleviating anxiety, managing and overcoming depression, and adjusting to life transitions (such as parenting, relationship challenges, experiencing an empty nest, health issues, job loss, divorce, death of a loved one, or retirement.) It's a common experience to face these life challenges, but when those issues start to take over your life, it's time to get the support you need by working through this with a counselor so you can live a more fulfilling life. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in North Carolina, licensed to see clients in North Carolina working virtually, and I'm also licensed in California. I received my Masters from San Diego State University and have been practicing clinical social work for 21 years. I enjoy working with individual adults who are struggling navigating the stressors in life, and we would work together to get you unstuck as soon as possible so you can live a better life, on your own terms. Welcome! I am Robyn. These days many people are feeling anxious, overwhelmed, and depressed. Sometimes they feel as if no matter what they do, it isn't enough and either they or those around them are never happy with themselves. How about you? Are you trying to manage to be the best parent, spouse, and employee that you can be? Are you struggling with a recent life transition or the loss of a loved one or relationship? Are you lying awake at night reviewing the list of things you think you should have accomplished? Or are you ruminating on what you said to someone, how you said it, and what you should have done differently? You are not alone! Many people experience these feelings and you do not have to continue to feel like this! You CAN FEEL BETTER! I work with adults of all ages who are struggling with these things by providing a safe space to talk about and work through these issues. I strive to empower them to discern their strengths, their priorities, and the barriers to feeling better. Once we’ve done that, I help them find ways to address those barriers and build new coping skills they can use to overcome the challenges of anxiety, depression, managing change, and people-pleasing. Change is not easy! I am impressed by your courage in taking the first step of asking for help to start your journey toward feeling better! You deserve to have someone skilled and trustworthy to guide you to grow and heal. I will compassionately work with you using evidence-based techniques to get beyond the challenges you are experiencing and on the road to feeling better! I’d love to have the privilege of working with you!

Hello! My name is Clover and I am a licensed clinical therapist and addiction specialist in the state of North Carolina and I use she/her pronouns. I look forward to the opportunity of learning and working together as part of our therapeutic process. I enjoy working with folks who are gender diverse and members of the LGBTQIA+ community who experience unique stressors and conflicts with their day-to-day lives. I also love working with folks who struggle with substance use either in addition to other life stressors or on its own. I started my clinical work with addiction and grew as a therapist and person to see people from a whole-person perspective. Our difficulties, conflicts, our stressors do not define us for who we are and when they prevent or delay us from becoming our authentic selves is where the therapeutic process blossoms. As a person who identifies as gender diverse, I have lived through many difficult life circumstances where I have learned and grown as a person. I have first-hand navigated through complex systems and emotionally wrought situations to become my authentic self and continue to do so. I believe everybody is always in a constant process of growing into our best selves and I hope to have the opportunity to work with you along this process too.

Hi there! A lot of people think therapy is a one-sided conversation, with little opportunity to experience each other as real people. My clients know that I am as real as it gets! I want to help you achieve your goals, learn more about yourself, and understand how your mind and brain work. While progressing along this path, you will enjoy the process of learning about yourself and perceiving yourself in new ways. My experience is that therapy doesn't need to be painful. I know it can be intimidating to call a therapist, but I hope you will call me and see how I can help you. My background is in neuropsychology, so I enjoy helping people understand how their brains work, in order to find the best way to manage anxiety, depression, and just plain dealing with life!

If you recently lost a loved one through death or a traumatic breakup, you are likely in the grieving process. You may be overwhelmed by waves of emotion or feel like the rug has been pulled from beneath your feet and you have not yet found solid ground. Traumatic loss abruptly changes everything. Your world will never be the same as it was, but you can find a new way forward. I specialize in helping courageous people process deep emotions and get through grief while finding purpose in life. Healing from loss takes time and deep emotional work. Over the past 8 years as a Hospice social worker and Bereavement therapist, I’ve witnessed healing from grief complicated by conflicted relationships, medical trauma and underlying mental health challenges. Often, we get stuck in circular thoughts that produce feelings of guilt or regret as we replay scenes wishing we could go back in time.
