I have learned that I am not for everyone and everyone is not for me. I am a whole vibe professionally speaking. Therapy is a journey one in which the client is in the drivers seat and the therapist is in the passenger seat, shotgun! When you come to therapy its like showing up in some type of vehicle I will gladly get in and help navigate throughout the ride. Once the ride ends I get out and say goodbye until next time. Oh and I make sure during the ride you don't run us off the road ;).

Welcome, I’m Elaine a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), based in North Carolina, I’m also licensed to practice in Ohio. In a private, peaceful, therapeutic environment I will listen to you without judgment, provide support, insight and feedback to help you address current or long standing issues that are impacting your life and possibly interfering with your emotional well-being. I have over 20 years experience working with individual and families to address mood instability, depression, anxiety, personal trauma, grief/loss, interpersonal problems, chronic illness and substance abuse. Siyo (Hello in Cherokee)! My name is Tishina Carroll. I have been involved in the behavioral health field for over 10 years. A common question I get asked is “Why did you choose to become a therapist”? The answer is easy: I profoundly enjoy helping others to find ways to manage life’s challenges, while also supporting them in developing into the best versions of themselves.
I too have struggled with mental health challenges, and I understand the stigma that comes with admitting that you need help. I want my clients to understand that they are not alone in their struggles. I am a licensed clinical social worker, a licensed clinical addictions specialist and a certified clinical supervisor. My areas of expertise include Anxiety Disorders, Bipolar Disorders, Depression, PTSD/ Trauma, Women’s Health, Grief/ Loss and Addiction. I am skilled in Dialectal Behavioral Therapy, Emotional Freedom Technique, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I am an enrolled member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and am familiar with traditional Native American Practices as well.
I understand that meeting a therapist for the first time can be intimidating, scary and maybe even embarrassing. I completely understand! The first few sessions, I like to build rapport. I want to get to know you as a person while also giving you the same space to get to know me as a therapist. Building rapport can help develop that crucial sense of trust.

Your Well-Being Is in Good Hands!
As a committed, professional Mental Health Service Provider of 5 years, your well-being and mental strength is my number one priority.
I’m happy to guide you through all of life’s challenges with the attention and care you deserve.
I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including Anxiety, Relationship Issues, Parenting Problems, Career Challenges, Depression, Schizophrenia, Grief, Trauma, PTSD, HIV, Bipolar ADHD, and Personality Disorders. I also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse.
I worked with various populations such as LGBTQ+, HIV, Homeless, Intellectually Disabilities, Prison's and Jail Systems.
I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It is essential to keep in mind that therapy is not a magic pill or a quick fix: therapy is a healing process that necessitates participation and investment from the patient and caretaker alike. But in the end, making small changes to self-defeating behavior and coping with feelings of sadness, fear, and pain can bring life-altering results.
It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

Kudos to you for recognizing the need to focus on your overall well-being including your mental health. At the beginning of therapy many individuals often feel overwhelmed with various emotions, especially talking to a stranger about their concerns.
I seek to make my clients feel welcomed and heard by working with them to identify past and present life events and the impact they have on their interactions internally and externally. I strive to create a safe and welcoming environment that allows clients to explore obstacles with concerns related to anxiety, depression, and/or self-care. I focus on helping clients develop assertive communication & boundaries with themselves and those around them that can help improve their quality of life.
Counseling sets the stage for self-awareness, healing, grieving, feeling empowered which can lead to change and growth. What you allow will continue, and change is a personal choice. If you’re ready to challenge yourself and create the life you want, I look forward to working with you.

I provide individual therapy and family therapy that is person centered and meets the client where they are. The process of counseling is a team effort and I strive to assist (you) my clients with identifying strengths, recognizing supports, developing self-awareness, and accepting accountability I use a variety of approaches (eclectic) to meet the needs of my clients. I specifically use interpersonal psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Family Systems Therapy, and Mindfulness Based Counseling. All treatments are supported by the following values:
• People are doing the best they can with the skills that they have.
• People can change.
• People do get better.
• People may not have created their problems, but they do have to live with them.
• The therapeutic relationship is a safe place to explore issues, learn innovative ways of thinking and acting, and practice skills.
To maximize the benefits of counseling, I will often ask clients to complete homework assignments including practicing new skills with follow up reports. I am also a mother, wife, life long student, parent of a disabled child, and support to many.

I am well-versed in military specific issues, as I contracted at various installations for six years and I have been in private practice in a military community for over 7 years. Most of my clients are activity duty, veterans, and/or spouses of active duty service members. I am EMDR basic trained and use tough skills with anxious and traumatized clients. Most of my clients have relationship issues due to past traumas that have not been processed. I have a strength-based approach, providing support and practical feedback to help clients address personal life challenges. I am a systemic thinker, meaning I view life as a relationship and each individual within the relationship is an integral participant in the "whole" system. Most "individual" or "couple" issues effect the entire family system.

Hi, I’m Catherine! I’ve been serving residents of North Carolina as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) for the past 8 years. I've walked clients of all ages through navigating a wide array of mental health issues and life transitions. I currently do not see clients younger than 13 because I've found virtual sessions are not as well suited to children's needs. Whatever their age, I aim to guide clients towards a more authentic way of living. I use an eclectic combination of empirically supported methods, including faith-based modalities. While my faith is a core part of my life, I respect the differing views of others on spirituality and religion. I honor and accept our differences, and hope for the same in return.
