I have worked within the foster care system, provided wraparound services for troubled youth, worked with those experiencing homelessness and with Veterans and their caregivers. I work with youth and adults on developing positive coping skills, short and long-term goals to address anxiety, depression, life changes, stress management and other mental health concerns.

Hello! My name is Faheda Rasool and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). I live in the sunny state of Florida and hold licenses to practice in Florida, North Carolina, Virginia, Michigan, Wyoming, and Hawaii. I practice virtually for my clients' convenience. My therapeutic style is warm, curious, and empathic. I mostly utilize cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) in my practice, though I also incorporate aspects of ACT, DBT, solution focused, and strength based perspectives in my approach. Throughout our time together, we will identify some primary challenges and create goals for our treatment plan. As sessions progress, these goals will be checked in on to assess for progress. Therapy is a great space to explore negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions, as well as challenges that may be sudden, or lingering for a while. I've always wanted to help people and I've always been a really social person; therapy allows me to do both and serve clients who may not have sought therapy before. Being a Black woman, I understand that people who look like me are least likely to seek therapy; this is one of the reasons I chose to become a therapist. I love interacting with clients from all different backgrounds as this widens my therapeutic practice. I received my undergraduate degree from FSU and my MSW degree from FIU.
