I have worked in mental health for about 7 years now. I have worked in a range of settings including at an inpatient hospital setting, home therapy, and outpatient therapy. I have worked with both children, adolescents and adults experiencing depression, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, stress, challenging family dynamics, grief and loss, and life transitions. This mantra helps to center me and reminds me that there is almost nothing we can’t do with a little compassion (and some coffee!). I am passionate about social justice and anti-bias work, believe that humans do well when they can, and if they can't that by providing support, guidance and unconditional positive regard we can get them back on track. I believe in a whole-person, community centered approach in my work. My primary experience is working with children and adolescents and their caregivers on issues such as anxiety, ADHD and depression. I also have experience with adults and am excited to work with people of all ages. My career started in Pennsylvania where I attended Chestnut Hill College and received my Master's in Counseling Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy Option. It continued in upstate Pennsylvania and New York where I attended SUNY University of Buffalo and received my Master of Social Work Degree. I capped those off with a Psy.D. from Cal Southern University, Magnum Cum Laude 2012. I hold an LCSW in PA, VA, NC, TX, and LI. I hold an LISW-CP in South Carolina, and LICSW in RI and MA.
