In today's world, mental health support is needed more than ever. Mental health IS health. It's time to end the stigma and realize it's okay to not be okay. Finding a therapist can be a daunting process but congratulations on taking the first step! As a therapist, I aim to foster an environment that is warm, collaborative, supportive, and nonjudgmental. I'm a licensed independent clinical social worker in Massachusetts and earned my Masters in Social Work degree from Boston College. I also have a Bachelor's degree in history. I view the counseling process as an alliance between client and therapist and consider the clients experts of their lives. Within the structure of the therapeutic relationship, clients can access their inner strengths and promote change. I use a combination of modalities that include but are not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My theoretical approach is based on the belief that clients are in charge of their counseling experience. They will learn the bounds of aspects of their life that they can control and what they cannot. Clients will understand that the therapeutic relationship is a partnership in which they will be expected to put in the effort for homework, be accountable, and present within the counseling alliance. Please note: I am only licensed in Massachusetts. Therefore, I can only see clients in Massachusetts. If you are on college break in another state, or on vacation in another state or country, I can see you once you return to the state. There are other clinicians who are licensed in more than one state that may be more suitable if you are someone who travels outside of the state often.

Howdy, I'm LB. I'm glad you're here. Are you looking for affirming support to explore, grow, and heal? Or perhaps movement-based, non-conversation-based support for navigating the effects of complex trauma? I move alongside trans, nonbinary, intersex, and LGBQA+ folks who are looking for support in connecting with themselves (and others) with more joy and compassion. We'll use a counter-oppressive, strengths-based, collaborative framework to address your needs with care. I also use humor, embodiment, creative expression, and mindfulness to bring depth and realness to our work. Whether you're unearthing and tending to the wounds of trauma or the tense exhaustion of marginalization, setting out on a gender journey, or looking for an affirming provider to help you access care you need, I'd be honored to work with you. Seeking therapy can feel scary, and I honor your efforts to find care that feels best for you. You deserve to feel seen, heard, and held. In our sessions together, we can create a safer container that allows you to be you. All of you. I embody a constellation of statuses and identities that are salient to my work. Some of them are that I'm white, nonbinary (they/ze pronouns), disabled, and Jewish. I have significant experience navigating the medical and mental health systems myself as a client/patient. I live and work on Nipmuc and Nonotuck territories along the Kwinetikw (Western MA--see my more robust land acknowledgment on my website at ampersandhealing.org/honoring-land).

My name is Ryan, and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated with my MS in Clinical Mental Health Care at Bay Path University in 2018. I have worked in an outpatient setting, as a therapist, since the fall of 2018. Prior to completing my program, I gained valuable experience through Crisis services as a clinician and support counselor. I have worked with people of all ages, from a variety of backgrounds. My therapeutic approach is eclectic with attention to client centered, a more holistic approach which encompasses the entire body as we tend to suffer as a whole being. I want to work with those to reintegrate those parts. People often do not realize the power of our thoughts and how it can negatively impact our overall wellbeing. I often tell people that our brain is a powerful tool. We are built to survive rather than thrive- this is a primordial skill that has not left us, but we have more effective tools. It is important to me to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and comfortable space to talk about uncomfortable life situations. I do well within the neurodivergent community, and have aided in navigating difficult milestones in their lives.

I love my profession! I have been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (independently licensed in FL and MA) for over 25 years with experience working with adults and adolescents, both female and male, inspiring hope while working together to develop essential life skills and healthy coping tools. I take a strength-based approach as I believe everyone can grow and change. The hardest and most important step is reaching out and asking for help, so you are on your way to a better place in your life. Do you find that you tend to dwell on the past and things you can’t change? Do you worry about the future, the what if’s and things you cannot predict? Do you find that you are so busy in life, maybe taking care of others, putting their needs ahead of your own or you forget or don’t feel you have time to take care of yourself? That’s where I can help. I specialize in treatment for depression, anxiety, PTSD, psychosocial stressors/major life changes, self-esteem building, social skills, trauma and grief. I am very knowledgeable about mental health diagnosis' however I concentrate less on the actual diagnosis because a mental illness does not define who you are. I am here to help guide you to a happy and healthy place in your life.

As a therapist, I understand the importance of providing individualized care to those struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns. My goal is to empower my clients to overcome these challenges and improve their overall well-being. To achieve this, I utilize a combination of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and an eclectic approach that takes into account each clients unique circumstances and needs. By working together, we can identify and challenge negative thought patterns and develop new, healthier coping mechanisms. In addition to CBT, I may also incorporate other therapeutic approaches, such as mindfulness, narrative therapy, and religious and spiritual exploration. My ultimate goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in their lives.

Are you a parent of a high-achieving adolescent or college student who seems to be withdrawing from school and from their friends? COVID created treacherous hurdles that high school and college students had to navigate including lack of socializing with peers and not having adequate support from teachers and inadequate learning opportunities for them to develop into confident students. Competition is now relentless due to 24 hour access to social media and kids just don't have enough down time to unplug. Are you a veteran of any of the conflicts in Afghanistan or Iraq? Are you having trouble integrating into civilian life or are traumatic memories of combat preventing you from having healthy relationships? I get it. I served in the U.S. Army from March of 2009 to September 2014 and deployed to Mosul, Iraq as part of Operation New Dawn. I am passionate about helping my brothers and sisters in arms move their lives forward and to find their new normal. I also enjoy helping professional women with life transitions whether that mean a new job, becoming a parent, infertility issues, or pursuing a new career. Please give me a call. Therapy is a collaborative process and I look forward to helping you on your journey.

About You Are you in a situation where friends and family are not enough help right now? There are times when almost everyone needs to talk to an objective person. If this is your first time in counseling finding out a little about about your counselor is just one of the steps you have to take. Another is understanding what counseling/therapy is. It's a confidential meeting with an objective professional trained to sort things out and identify if you are at risk of harming yourself because life is too painful to bear. Suppose you are dealing with an unbearable situation such as being threatened of losing a job, a death in the family, a serious illness of your own, ongoing disability or addiction, a relationship going sour or breakup, loss of any kind, depression, and anxiety, I can help you get back on track. The truth is, I have lived a bit. I know what life is like. I was a New Yorker. I settled down in Massachusetts. Then I had a family later than most. Although I did work in human services with my bachelor's degree, I went back to school as an adult with a young child. I am so grateful to be this educated to help my clients. I ran an outpatient early recovery program, an inpatient program for long-term alcoholics, individual sessions at an outpatient community mental health clinic, and of course my private practice. This is who I am. I will be pleased to be your guide on your journey to a happier healthier life. ,

*Currently NOT accepting couples* Hello, my name is William. I have been in the field for nearly 10 years now. I have worked in a variety of positions from Hospital settings to inpatient, to group/couples work, and the standard individual sessions. I am a sex-positive therapist who works with a wide range of issues. I work using a combination of short and long-term goals. However, I only work with 18+ year old clients. I'm not sure what exactly brought you here, but I can guess it has something to do with seeking a positive change. Perhaps this is your first-time trying therapy or you are well versed in the process. No matter the reason or experience level I would like to offer you a safe space to let those feelings out and share them in a nonjudgmental space.

I am a licensed clinical social worker, and have been working with people who wanted to make some changes in their lives for more than 25 years. Together we've focused on the variety of challenges they were experiencing - depression, anxiety, family or work stressors, relational and communication issues. I also work with people who have experienced trauma, or who have chronic medical conditions, as well as those who are in a difficult situation, or who have lost someone close to them. My counseling style is conversational and interactive, and incorporates a cognitive-emotional-behavioral, solution-focused, body-based approach. We work at a speed comfortable for you, and one that respects your values, your culture and beliefs, your goals. Everyone deserves support whether they are working to make changes in their life or deal with changes they didn't choose. If you've identified some areas in your life that might benefit from your attention and intervention, I'd like to work with and support you, too.

Hi! I am a therapist with 29 years of experience and love working with people to help become the best version of themselves. I form strong therapeutic alliances with the people I work with and help them find the path to feeling better about themselves and their lives. I am positive and supportive and work with people to be solution focused and to quickly learn to be more independent and to trust in themselves and the decisions they make. They will see me as their greatest cheerleader and advocate who is able to help them ask themselves the right questions to be able to make confident decisions on his/her or their own. I am also a CCTP (Certified Clinical Trauma Professional).

Appointments are available outside of 8-5 working hours starting as late as 7 pm! It takes courage to reach out for help when you struggle or feel stuck. As a therapist, I'm dedicated to creating a secure setting where my clients can express themselves and work through obstacles, adversity, and life changes. Therapy provides an opportunity for clients to question long-held beliefs that may no longer be beneficial to their present lives and make lasting change. In my practice, I work to create a non-judgmental and affirming environment where you can explore, process, and feel.

My name is Krystyna Ksiazek. I live in Massachusetts. I am a Licensed Mental Health Clinician. I have been practicing psychotherapy for 29 years and never got sick of it. Seeing my clients succeeding, whether in therapy or their private life adds meaning to my work. My area of interest is Trauma and Complex-PTSD, Anxiety Spectrum Disorders such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Agoraphobia, phobias, Eating disorders, Depression, and Grief. Also, I have experience in the treatment of anger management problems, self-harm behaviors, and dissociative/split personality disorders. I like working with Young Adults, Adults, the Elderly, men, and women. I like to reach out beyond the traditional scope of therapeutic interventions, to alternative medicine based on the homeostatic model of health. I want to help clients to build self-confidence and optimism and empower them to face new challenges, grow, and succeed as they never imagined. I like to build up therapeutic alliances with the clients, and create an atmosphere where they know and feel that I am there for them and that I understand and support them. I do not mind spending more time with them if this is clinically necessary. Also, under exceptional circumstances, I allowed clients to contact me on the phone outside of therapy sessions, to assist them in coping with extraordinary situations, guide them when they struggle with using newly acquired skills, etc. I came to the USA from Poland in the year of 1981. I had to start "from the bottom". I have been through many ups and downs, and painful personal losses; my mother, friend boyfriend, but I never gave up. My resilience, optimism, and positive outlook on life, did not allow me to accept the failure. Contrary, it motivated me to try harder. Most of the time it worked.

Are you ready to take back control of your thoughts and feelings? Are you ready to consider alternatives to what you have already been doing? The definition of insanity is continuing to do what you have been doing and expecting different results. Lets try something new! I have been a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the state of Florida since 1990 and in Massachusetts since 2015. I approach therapy from a Systems perspective- looking at the the individual in relation to various relationships and systems such as immediate family, extended family or work environment. I also approach therapy from a Solution-Focused perspective- while the root problem needs to be identified, I guide the client to discover solutions unique and acceptable to them. I work with couples to improve communication and problem solving. I have been trained through the Gottman program Levels 1 and 2 which emphasizes trust and commitment as the foundations of a healthy marriage. I have extensive experience working with Substance Abuse issues, working with both the addict and the family members effected by the addiction.
