Hi everyone, I'm Greg I understand that emotions can be confusing, relationships can be messy, and past experiences can negatively impact our present lives, however, I believe that with proper coping strategies, we don’t have to remain stuck in dysfunctional patterns. I realize change can be scary and people often remain frozen in place due to the fear of the unknown. While change and acceptance are two concepts that are diametrically opposed, with the right mindset, they can work hand-in-hand to promote growth and healing. I have been helping clients improve their lives for over two decades. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, obtaining my Masters of Social Work through Indiana University and my Doctorate of Social Work through Capella University. My doctoral capstone project researched the use of Integrated Treatment to effectively treat co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders using a holistic approach to treat these disorders simultaneously, as oftentimes, the root causes of addiction are comingled with other underlying mental health conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, or grief. I believe that treating both conditions simultaneously brings about the best chance of success for lasting healing and recovery. Before obtaining my doctoral degree, I spent two decades working at a community mental health center through its emergency services department. This experience provided the opportunity to work with diverse clients struggling with all manner of concerns. Additionally, I spent the past six years working part-time at an addiction recovery center treating clients individually, in groups, and with their family systems to help combat the disease of addiction. As a result of these opportunities, I am experienced in all manners of mental health, as well as addiction counseling, family counseling, and grief counseling.

My name is Brittany and I have been a therapist for 10 years. I have worked with a wide range of clients throughout my career, but the clients that I feel the most fulfilled from helping are the ones that have experienced some life-changing event that we can navigate through together. I graduated in 2014 with my MSW and worked to obtain my LCSW, LCAC, and CSAYC. I enjoy working with clients that have the motivation to move their life in the direction of growth, even when it is hard. I want to help people that feel stuck in their lives to find the deeper meaning they desire. If you are struggling and are looking for support, let's find a way to get you through it. Your problems are real, your problems are important, and your problems have solutions. I am an animal lover and you may meet my cat, Max, in a session or two, as he usually naps next to me. Do you often feel overwhelmed with life? Or do you feel that something from your past is keeping you stuck? I can help with anxiety, depression, past trauma, negative self talk, relationship issues and more. I have found great success with walking along side the people I work with to help them move from where they are to where they want to be…wherever that might be! I’m nonjudgmental and accepting of all walks of life- LGBTQIA+ individuals are welcome. I didn’t get into therapy to “fix” people, I use my practice to guide and help find new ways of doing or looking at things. I love being able to track the progress my clients make when they utilize the skills we’ve talked about in session. I use a mix of Motivational Interviewing and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for most cases. For those suffering from PTSD, I use my Certified Clinical Trauma Professional training which includes somatic (body) work along with narrative work, all of which is grounded in the neuroscience of trauma. I have my Perinatal Mental Health Certificate as well, meaning I am aptly trained to help with anyone transitioning into new parenthood. I’m not overly concerned with labels and diagnoses, I’m just here to help you make changes to function and feel better day to day. If you think my approach sounds like it would help you, please reach out and we can schedule our first session to determine if we’ll be a good fit to work together moving forward. I have a dedicated 24 years of social services experience, with 14 years of outpatient clinical experience. I started my career as a mentor for youth, in local non-for-profit programs. I then advanced to other comprehensive roles, with interchangeable titles, that ultimately focused on youth development and mentorship. I received my BA in Psychology at Purdue University & MA at the University of Chicago, School of Social Administration. Immediately, upon the end of graduate school, I began my experience with outpatient mental health therapy. Since, I have fulfilled a spectrum of diversified clinical roles, that include home-based, outpatient, inpatient, and telehealth therapy for vast developmental range- from early childhood to late adulthood. This includes specialty treatment with various therapy modalities, such as CBT, ACT, DBT, PST.

My name is Brytni Johnson. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) born and raised in Texas (always in and around "DFW”). I have been working with people: moms and dads; sons and daughters; brothers and sisters; even grandparents for as long as I can remember. I realized just over 12 years ago, I wanted to "help people." I wanted to become educated and trained; learn how to better explore and accentuate my natural skills, while also being able to understand and develop new skills to best assist my clients. In 2012, I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work. In 2016, I graduated with my Master of Social Work. Shortly after graduating, I obtained my LMSW licensure, and have been practicing in a licensed, professional environment for the past 7 years. After obtaining my license, it was then, my "toolbelt" (yes, toolbelt) gained its first tool. From there, I began working towards building my clinical knowledge in order to obtain my clinical license as a social worker. I obtained my LCSW licensure June 2022; shortly after completing over 3,000 clock hours and over 100 clinical supervision hours.

Hello, I'm Melissa. Are you looking for a therapist who understands the challenges of raising a family in today's fast paced and stressful world? Do you find it difficult to feel comfortable talking to others about your real feelings because you don't want to be that vulnerable to anyone else? I help individuals struggling with life balance and stress management. I have experience providing individual therapy to clients struggling with current life stressors due to past traumas. These past traumas can hold one back from moving forward in life and finding happiness. I have experience working with diverse client populations. I have worked with children and adolescents in the Dept. of Child Services system, provided behavior support to individuals with developmental disabilities and have worked inpatient with children with dual diagnoses. I am also a single mother of two amazing children and understand on a personal level the stress of raising children, managing the house and maintaining a career. I enjoy listening to others and helping them find the strengths they did not know they had. Life can be tough at times but having someone to talk through problems with can make the difficult times easier.

Laura Rae Venditti, LCPC, LMHC. I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, (LCPC). I obtained my B.A. in Psychology from Saint Xavier University, where I minored in Pastoral Ministry. I obtained my M.A. in Gerontological Counseling from Adler University. I have serviced clients from 5 (yrs.) through 90 (yrs.) in academic, clinical, and nursing home settings. I approach therapy within a client-centered climate, using the tenets of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), through a solution-focused lens. I help clients identify obstacles and explore solutions, believing that if one wants something to change, one has to be willing to help foster change. The client and I will explore barriers and remove roadblocks that have denied them their joy. I work with my clients to explore their vision of a better life in a quest to make it their reality. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, and I especially find joy in time spent with my grandchildren. I take advantage of the benefits of exercise and its contribution to attaining balance and minimizing stress. One of my favorite pastimes is baseball. I greatly enjoy attending White Sox games. I love the advantages of living in the city where I can walk, run, or bike, most anywhere I need to go.

First things first! Let me start by saying, I recognize the immense strength it takes to begin this journey. You’ve come to the right place. Due to my own life experiences, I have a passion for working with children and families to help them navigate difficult times and transitions. I am a true believer in using the strengths we gain from overcoming our own obstacles to serve as a guide for others. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you until, using your strengths, you can navigate your path. Together, we will utilize art, play, and conversation to elicit positive change. I enjoy using fun, engaging, and colorful activities to help children and families learn healthy communication styles, coping skills, and self-love and acceptance. I've even developed curricula to teach families important skills needed to tackle sensitive subjects such as trauma, worry, anger control, and healthy emotional development. I hope to meet you soon, as we embark on this together.

Hello, my name is Ronak Makadia, and I am a licensed clinical psychologist with additional training in social work. As a second-generation, Asian American I quickly learned the stigma and shame attached to attending therapy, especially within the Asian American community. As a cis-gender woman of color, I value and will provide culturally competent services. Please note that I only accept adults and older adults who are high-functioning but need support to overcome barriers. Due to the nature of my private practice, I am unable to accept clients who are seeking treatment for trauma, substance use or severe mental illness. I work alongside patients to overcome any barriers they may be facing. I will always encourage you to create, learn, and consistently use healthy coping mechanisms. To avoid staying stuck, I collaborate with you in developing solutions to aid you in moving forward in your life. We all get stuck sometimes and I am here to help. Therapy does not have to be a painful experience and I will be here to guide you toward improvement in a welcoming, affirmative environment. I support the movement to destigmatize therapy and make mental health care accessible for all. I will continue to support this mission and provide quality counseling. Talk to me about scheduling a first appointment if you are interested in working together. I look forward to working with you!
