In 2014, I received my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University. I worked for Heads Counseling as a traveling trauma therapist for two and a half years. During this time, I worked with children that have open DCF cases and became certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. For the past, year and a half I have been working in Corrections. Corrections has expanded my experience to include working with substance abuse, personality disorders and psychotic disorders.

I enjoyed working with children and their families for 15 years, and then I transitioned to the medical field, where I was blessed to continue my growth within a variety of settings. My husband and I have one spoiled dog, Bo, a boxer-hound mix, who brings lots of laughs to our home. My specialties include working with adults (age 18+). I can help people who are dealing with symptoms of anxiety and/or depression find ways to cope. Those who are struggling with adoption issues may need extra support and assistance as they sort through their feelings. Caregivers who are feeling overwhelmed with life can find a peaceful place to land during our sessions. I particularly enjoy providing Christian-based counseling, as that is an important part of who I am. I believe that laughing about life with my patients can help us explore together what may be on their hearts and minds. NOTE: I can offer in-person sessions on a very limited basis in an office in Orange Park, FL, but I am primarily utilizing the telehealth format.
