My career in the helping field started in 1999 when I worked at a youth detention center and refugee facility. Since then, I have gain experienced in various mental health settings, including outpatient therapy, multi-systemic therapy in homes/schools-with teens and their families, worked in a jail for two years as therapist, experience working with individuals suffering with psychotic disorders, as well as, worked with teen violence and with teens struggling with truancy. Throughout these experiences, my observations were focused on the lack of compassion and empathy there was in the field for individuals seeking help; this was my main motivator for starting my own practice-with the goal of providing people with the care they deserve.

With a deep passion for breaking the stigma surrounding addiction and mental health, I have dedicated the last nine years to assisting individuals who grapple with the complex interplay of mental health issues and underlying substance abuse.
