I use a person-centered approach when working with clients because we are all unique in our ways. TaMara brings a wealth of experience in an unconventional way. As a former owner of a home healthcare company, that primarily provided services to the elderly, TaMara found herself assisting families, particularly adult children, who had to make tough healthcare and financial decisions for their parent(s). She helped families establish goals on how best to support their parents in maintaining dignity and independence while simultaneously identifying the next steps in the event of their parents’ passing. While families had to come to terms with the physical, mental, and/or psychological changes seen in their parents, taking on the parental role was quite emotionally challenging for adult children. TaMara supported the entire family in managing these delicate issues.

Hi. My name is Christine Toler, Chris, and I earned my Ed.S and LPC- MHSP in the state of Tennessee, and New Jersey. I have been licensed as a Professional Counselor since 2010, and a School Counselor since 2006. I started being a believer in therapy when it first helped me over forty years ago, (as a child). I thought what a wonderful way to get to the root of the problem... and get rid of it. Since then I have been working on myself as a client as well as acquiring a licensure to help others, including teens, adults and families. I focus on solution based and non-judgmental cognitive therapy. I believe understanding a problem is not the end of the work. The action we take to support a positive change... is what changes lives. And while I have experienced that in some very important areas... I continue to grow... daily. I choose to be transparent about that because I believe it is important to the work that my clients know I understand how it feels to be in their chair. If you are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, doubt, guilt, grief, or all of the above, I believe I can help you.

Hi - I’m Crystal. It sure is complicated to be an adult these days. We are surrounded by chaos, catastrophe, covid – on top of regular life expectations of work, relationships and family. The canned response of “increase your self-care” is much easier said than done. Co-existing with anxiety and/or depression has become a way of life. Sometimes just having a person to rely on to listen to your struggles would make the difference. As someone well versed in anxiety, therapy is a huge help. If you are looking for someone to hold space for you or if you are looking for tools to apply in your life, please reach out to set up your first appointment.

It is my ethical duty to officially terminate our therapeutic relationship when it is reasonably clear the client is no longer beneficent, when services are no longer required, when counseling no longer serves the needs and/or interests of the client or when Dr Olushola Bakare, LMFT limits do not allow provision of further counseling services. It is the policy of Dr. Olushola Bakare, LMFT, that after a one-month consistent lapse of meeting with a client our professional relationship will be considered terminated. Dr Olushola Bakare, LMFT, will make an attempt to notify you of this change in status as soon as possible after the one-month period. It is my ethical duty to identify, be available, and care for current clients. This could possibly feel awkward for our relationship to end yet, is not meant to be discourteous in anyway.

LaVonya began working in the behavioral health field in 2003. At that time, she worked with children with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities, helping them to develop life skills and improve their overall functioning. She also worked with their families to assist them with increasing their access to care and services such as respite and in-school support services. In 2010, after receiving a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral and Addictions Counseling, she began working as a case manager for individuals facing homelessness. It was there that she learned of the impact of addiction and chronic mental health, and she was inspired to continue her education so that she can have a greater impact in fostering positive outcomes for individuals with chronic challenges. LaVonya went on to earn her master’s degree in Professional Counseling. She then worked as an inpatient counselor in an inpatient detox program. Her experience there informed her of the multiple challenges individuals with chronic addiction faced in their journey to recovery, igniting a passion to somehow have an impact on access to care. Since then, LaVonya has worked in multiple therapeutic settings, including outpatient, intensive outpatient, and short-term rehab. She has worked with hundreds of patients to help them through obtaining and maintaining sobriety, coping with depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns. LaVonya currently works as a professional counselor and holds licenses in Delaware, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. She is also a CADC candidate (Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor).

Having worked in the mental health field for over 15 years, I have often wondered why some individuals struggle while others appear to function well. Through years of self-reflection, I realized loving yourself is a priority. Without it, your ability to function declines. One of my favorite quotes is "It is not selfish, but self-full. My cup runneth over. What comes out of the cup is for ya'll. What's in the cup is mine. But I've got to keep my cup full. "-Iyanla Vanzant. Everyone deserves happiness.
