Hi, I’m Rachel! Do you ever wonder why your kids struggle so much in school, have a hard time making/keeping friends, or have a difficult time following the same daily routines that are expected of them every day? Have you received multiple evaluations of them, but still feel lost in how to parent them? I get it. I’m not only an Autism and ADHD Specialist for both kids and adults ages 5-65yo, but I’m also a mom of neurodivergent kiddos. I work with children/teens/adults with varying presentations, who almost always have some level of anxiety, depression, trauma etc. I’m here to help support you and focus on what matters most. I also work with children and teens who do not have neurodivergent brains, but rather may have behavioral difficulties at home/school; issues with school refusal, significant degrees of anxiety and/or depression, overuse of social media and struggle in their parent/child relationships. I provide both individual and family therapy and believe that rapport with my clients and understanding their personal goals is what will make the most progress. I also specialize in life transitions, assisting teens in moving toward independence and the next steps in young adulthood. This includes career counseling, which I provide to adults of all ages.

Along with mental health, I am passionate about maternal health, family and relationship dynamics, and hold a strong focus surrounding the multicultural context and how that has shaped who you are and how you respond to the stress and conflict in life. Hey you, I'm Angie, a sex and relationship therapist uniquely suited to support your journey to pleasure and healing. (NOTE: I'm currently not doing COUPLES therapy through Grow, so I would encourage you to find another provider if you're seeking couples work.) Have you struggled to find a therapist who you can be completely transparent with in regards to your sexuality or gender? Have you hidden your identities, desires, and challenges, for fear of judgment, shame or rejection? Sexuality is a challenging topic, one that most therapists don't receive much training around. As a result, even therapists can be afraid to broach sensitive topics, which makes it even harder for you when your mental health, relationship challenges, and overall well-being is so interrelated to your sexual health. Instead of shying away, my work centers your sexual self as a primary domain of care. First, we build trust. And when you're ready, we explore every aspect that may be impacting your life. This can include healing sexual trauma or harm, exploring early childhood development and shame, permission giving to talk about different identities, expressions and desires, and creating pathways to your fullest most expansive pleasure and connection. Topics I'm passionate about include closing the orgasm gap, healing sexual trauma, queer love and sex and healing the harm from homophobia, gender expansive exploration, non-monogamy and open relating, kink/ BDSM/ fetish exploration, the needs of sex workers (whorephobia and stigma) and those who've experienced trafficking, and finding pleasure after experiencing a religious/ cult repression. I identify/ am a member of many of these communities, which provides lived experience to balance clinical expertise as well. We work together to create a safe container for your diverse and erotic self, learning how to integrate those selves into your relationships and your life. Pleasure is key to mental health and well-being.

Is it difficult for you to find time for yourself, let alone, be kind to yourself? Do you feel "stuck" and unable to move forward? Many of us are experiencing loneliness, depression, anxiety and social isolation, so it is important to make caring for yourself a priority. In our sessions, I will meet you with kindness, compassion, humor and evidence-based modalities, so you can overcome obstacles and habits that may be holding you back. My goal as your therapist is to provide a safe, supportive and empathic environment in which to work through current issues, conflicting relationships and/or past pain. Thank you for reviewing my profile. I am originally a Midwest farm gal with a little city pazzazz having lived in the Chicagoland area for many years. Although I am now a CA resident, my Midwest roots are grounding to me. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California. I provide counseling services via telehealth and on Tuesday's have in-person sessions available to those who live locally. On days I am not working, I enjoy reading, riding the motorcycle with my husband, spending time with my adult kids, traveling, taking walks with our pet dog, Buddy, and working out at the gym. I am divorced, have lost a pet I dearly cherished, lost my father, and worked hard to obtain my PhD! I am a huge advocate of self-care because that is what helped me keep taking one step forward on difficult days. Take courage and know that I, too, have not been without struggles, but encourage you to know there is hope everyday!

**ACCEPTING ADULTS (18+) ONLY** Hi, I'm Yang. And I'm here to help you heal from self-abandonment and emotional dysregulation. Self-abandonment occurs when we struggle to stand up for our needs and live by our authentic values; often, we don't even know what they are. Those who struggle with self-abandonment don't feel like they know who they really are, and what they want, and often feel directionless and ungrounded. We feel small, afraid, anxious, aggressive and dependent on others. Emotional dysregulation occurs when we don't understand our emotions and how to manage them. They control us, instead of the other way around. We behave in ways we wish we didn't, and we build up shame around those behaviors as if they are who we are. We cannot separate our emotions from who we are. These issues often lie at the heart of different mental health struggles, such as depression, anxiety, as well as many relationship challenges. The good news is that resolving these, therefore, can potentially lead to ripple effects of change in your life.

In my practice, I utilize Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) within a trauma-informed care framework to support clients struggling with self-esteem, body image, and relationship issues. Recognizing the impact of trauma on these areas, I create a safe and empathetic environment where clients feel validated and understood. DBT's structured approach helps clients develop practical skills in mindfulness, emotional regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness. For self-esteem and body image concerns, I focus on helping clients cultivate self-compassion and challenge negative self-talk through mindfulness and acceptance strategies, always being mindful of their trauma history. In addressing relationship issues, I guide clients in building healthier communication patterns and setting appropriate boundaries using DBT's interpersonal effectiveness skills, while ensuring a trauma-sensitive approach. By integrating these techniques, I empower clients to navigate their emotions more effectively, improve their self-perception, and foster more fulfilling relationships, all within a context that prioritizes their safety and well-being.

Hi, I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, practicing in Northern California for 20+ years. I believe everyone has inner wisdom that is often difficult to access when we have dealt with trauma, fear, shaming and abuse. My goal is to help clients access the parts of themselves that they feel disconnected from or would like to develop further. I believe very strongly that healing and change are possible at any age! I like to teach skills that help with finding the strong parts of each person, that may have been suppressed or cut off, due to life circumstances.
